9 infractions over 7 years seems pretty reasonable.. I have 3 myself, mostly for saying a random political line here and there. Seems stupid to ban someone without a specific reason, like going after another member or something malicious like that. Especially someone with 7 years on the site who has contributed quite a lot, just seems like the banhammer should be a little more discriminating.

      *braces for yellow card*

Back to AI... I was watching the 2001 All-Star game last night and forgot what a freak AI was. That game was awesome too, it was so surreal seeing Marbury and AI out there playing together with Spree watching from the bench.

WTF @ DC being banned. Dude was one of my favorite posters on this site.

Who is gonna be the driver of the Will Bynum bandwagon now?

Really? We ban people after 3 infractions. The guy had 9 infractions and 6 warnings since 07. Weve only been giving out infractions for 2-3 yrs. LOL. Think we gave him enough rope? Jesus, I know you guys like the guy but come on.

Also stop playing the martyr card. No one is giving you a warning for speaking your mind. 9 infractions in 3 yrs is ridiculous.

Maybe we should just make a DC thread instead of derailing this one?

No need. I stated my thoughts. I dont know how you can defend 9 infractions and 6 warnings in less than 3 yrs. Continue with the Iverson discussion.

Re: AI/Grizzlies agree to terminate contract

Yeah, I have 3.. a red and a yellow from 2008 and a yellow from this year. I guess I got the red before it was an automatic ban policy, called someone (who is probably now banned for being an idiot) an idiot I think.

Anyway, it's not worth arguing over. I'm not making myself a martyr, I just know you dudes have been throwing those infractions around like parade candy and I wouldn't be surprised if "badgering the mods about a banning" was an infraction. I'm sure it was a committee decision, it's not a big deal, just sucks to be without one of the 5 biggest voices on this site abruptly after a "cumulative" banning.

One quick point. You dont have 3. You have one. Red cards are the only ones that count when it comes to bans.

I should probably be following my own advice but this will be my last post about this in this thread.

I agree you can't really defend all those infractions but was the dude that harmful? I know he made a lot of those pretty crazy threads in the neighborhood forum but it wasn't like he ever personally attacked anyone or things like that.

I've seen way worse posters around here than DC ever was.

But oh well, it is what it is I guess. RIP DC. We have to get him a casket for his OS death. It has to be a cheap one though cause we all know DC was a penny pincher.

                      Back to the A.I. talk.....

LOL...I should take my own advice. The rules arent whether there are worse posters. The rules arent whether he is harmful. Its that he and everyone follows the rules. If he had 3 or 4 or 5...I could see an argument. But the guy had 16 total warnings.

Be clear. I didnt have an issue with his posts in the OS Neighberhood, 2k forum or basketball forum. I didnt agree with most of them but I dont agree with a ton of people here. He's gone because of the constant infractions. Thats it. There isnt anything else behind it.

Man look, this thread is actual ongoing NBA News... cant you guys take this one to Steve's forum or something. Probably half the people on this site doesn't even know what you guys are talking about, and this one isnt the place to bring this up.

People are expecting to talk about Allen Iverson when they click the thread.

Im not trying to be funny or derail it but its at the point of being locked because its now a topic that doesnt belong in the bball forums.

                          Come on guys

Back on topic: Spurs should sign him...

Pop seemed to get along with him during the USA team and the Spurs probably have some of the worst 'we can't score' periods of any team right now.

AI would get a contender, the best big man he's played with, a backbourt buddy in Parker and see what it's really like in an awesome team atmosphere.

I'll wake up from my dream now...
