Looks like TMac will be traded. It'd be interesting to see him go to contender.

Edit: I would love to see him go to Cleveland.
if he goes to cleveland and can play at all...i got them as winning it all.

they would literally have a bench full of starters.

    Mo/Tmac/Lebron/Hickson/Shaq
    Delonte/Parker/Moon/Varejao/Big Z

If that cant win it all then they should give up

There was a report on Sportscenter this morning and the guy said no contender wants him at this point. Will be interesting.

To expand, the only two teams who contacted the Rockets were the Knicks and Warriors, both offering straight salary dumps.

The Wiz offered Gil straight up and the Rockets rejected.

Noone wants to take on that salary is what it is. At this point though nobody is going to give HOU anything significant for this, it was dumb of them to let things play out the way they did, but in the least bit they would get the expiring salary at the end of the year.

Houston better not trade TMac for anything less than superstar talent or young on the brink talent.

If anything let TMac stay and just let him come off the books, all 23 million dollars.

Well, supposedly they asked for Randolph...so we'll see.

There is about a 10% chance that TMac goes to the Knicks. Only way I see it is if they get a 3rd team involved.

I think all that we're hearing right now are rumors.

such as rockets homers thinking Sacto will give up Kevin Martin for him and all theyre waiting on is for him to return from injury

Re: T-Mac vs Rockets - fight!

Houston have definitely done the right thing IMO. That current team is thriving on chemistry and it just wasn't wortth ruining it.

T-Mac the player doesn't have much value...but T-Mac the contract has a hell of a lot of value. $23 million coming off someone's books in a few months = gold.

Any team that isn't quite sure about a guy they've signed to a long term deal (Gilbert, Kevin Martin etc) is going to be calling. Right now, if you've got a young guy you've locked up for 5 years and you are kind of doubting that decision...those teams are going to be calling non stop.

The question is whether Houston should take on those contracts...

As far as a contender...it's hard to see him going to one. They'd need to give up $23 million in contracts...that's a hell of a disruption.

Someone posted the Cavs line up above...but that's forgetting they'd need to send Houston $23 million worth of players.

$23 million...means basically giving up 3 senior players.

I think he should've been traded 2 years ago but nowadays cap money is apparently the thing to do for flexibility which is still an option they have.

I think it's cruel when teams just put a guy on ice to benefit from his contract. These guys are rich and all that, but an NBA career is only so long, and this is what they love to do. If someone can play, it's basic decency to try to put them in a situation where they can do that.

That said, I hope Tracy comes to the Knicks

There's no minutes in Adelman's rotation for him seeing as how he whined about his 8 minute "cameos". Obviously, he's done in Houston and they want him as far away from the team as possible.

Reports are out that both sides agreed to try and pursue a trade, which means that no one is "icing" him (they are trying to find him a new home). The Rockets aren't going to trade him just to trade him and take garbage back, just so T-Mac can get paid next season. Morey will aggressively look for offers, and if no one wants him, or people are offering crap, then it's a good possibility that he expires in Houston. If he wants to play that bad he can buy himself out and give Houston back the money that he has collected from home over the years.
