Just a thought: Do you think that those low tops that Kobe wears is good for his ankle? He should scrap those things, even if they are burning down Foot Lockers.

Why did JR lean back away from contact when he just got him up in the air?

Yeah that would be nice, but who could they trade? San Antonio and Dallas could say the same thing [need another big body]. As it stands Denver can go to battle with what they already have and have just a good a chance to beat LA as any team in the league.

Kinda crazy they were saying this before the game..

“We kind of know how to beat them, what we have to do,” Karl said. “We’re learning that better, and I think that’s a positive.”

“Why should we be? [The championship] was last year,” Anthony said. “They are the same to me. They are the Lakers, I guess.”

“I don’t know if they’re better,” Billups said. “But they won it all. They don’t have to be better. Nobody was as good as them.

“That’s yet to be seen. I really, really thought Trevor Ariza(notes) was good for that team. I think they miss him.”

I am just shocked they won without Melo. They caught lightning in a bottle tonight for sure.

I'm not sure why anyone would be shocked.

The Lakers don't look that great at all. Haven't looked like that since Kob got all nicked up. He's a walking injury report.

                      Andrew/Pau have never looked comfortable.

Their bench has been nothing of note.

Denver matches up with LA as well as any team out West. It's easy to see. Even without Carmelo.

Kobe just needs to heal up, that is real plain to see. Too bad, his coach can't convince him to sit out a game or two. Maybe after the all-star break he will be fine.

Nobody will be able to make the guy sit. He's bigger than the Lakers at this point, it is what it is.

Anyway that's not really their main problem.

Defense is what it comes down to for every team.

I don't care where the Lakers rank in opposing FG%, they haven't showed me much on that end.

No need to hit the panic button though, NBA regular season is pointless, LOL. Although I will say this is why I was hyping Denver up so much in the Summer.
