Ridiculous, man. Conley is developing. Some people take a long time to learn the position.

Kobe is aggressive to the fault, but that's not the same as selfishness. Selfishness implies that some part of him doesn't enjoy it when his teammates are responsible for a win. I don't believe this to be close to the truth at all. Kobe wants his teammates to match his aggressiveness. He's not going to demand the ball any less, or stop fighting for post position. He just wants his teammates to approach the game in the same way.

I don't know how many times I've seen Bynum give up post position, or get position and have a teammate swing the ball back around to Kobe. The Lakers are very good, and as a result, a lot of those guys end up coasting. When people coast, the balance of shots shifts towards the most aggressive person in the game.

If anything, it's a collective problem of simply not getting Gasol the ball enough. Bynum's opportunities have much more to do with Pau than they have to do with Bryant. Kobe looks to make the game easy for Andrew on a very, very consistent basis, and it has nothing to do with highlights.
exactly. u always say what im thinking but i never know how to say it. lol

or i never say it in time.

Is there any doubt Lebron is the best player in basketball by far. Just look at their record since Mo got injured, look at the rest of the roster, and then take a look what he's done BY HIMSELF.

i dont beleive kobe has the same level of interest in the game when he is not a big part of the winning.

              Re: 2/1-2/7 NBA Discussion

Velvet Hoop destroys the Hawks again.

Kevin is a really interesting player to me. Of all the guys in the league in the 9-10 Free Throw per game range, I think he's the only one that could successfully play as a catch and shoot player right now. Combine that with his size, and I see some interesting glimpses into the future for some of the defensive problems people are going to have with him.

I realize that seems absurd, with his near 30ppg, but I'm talking about good defenses in close games in the playoffs.

Mike Woodson, an excellent defensive coach, faced the problem of when to double Durant, and Coach Brooks and his team counter-punched their way to a decisive victory over the Hawks.

Kevin was hot and getting the ball down the stretch. The Hawks had to double team. The problem was, when and where do they double? With his height, handles and dribble, conceding an 18 foot jumper became out of the question. For most players, you can live with that shot, but Kevin's range forces you to change your normal perimeter double team strategy. So Kevin beat them on six consecutive plays. Shot, shot, assist, assist, decoy and free throws.

The most interesting was as a decoy. I could see the problem. The score was close enough that the Hawks could get a stop and hit a three and be right back in it. So the Thunder need to run the clock down. They can't give it to Kevin, because the Hawks will immediately double and force a tough shot. So Kevin stands next to Westbrook, who pats the rock for 17 secs, then drives to the basket for a lay in.

Durant is a very, very unique player.

Kevin Durant is the second best pure scorer in the league.

I hope the Thunder make the playoffs. It would be an good experience for Mr Durant. Fun to watch too.

I have never seen a more pure jumper. The Zombie Sonics did a great job surrounding him with athleticism and toughness.

I wonder how long he can play in the league. His game isn't really built on any athleticism. He could have a long long career....or perhaps he is the next Glenn Robinson. But I think he is the real deal.

I would say Melo and Kobe are better pure scorers because they finish and draw fouls better. But Durant is young.

I'll probably get flamed but I'll still say Brandon Jennings has barely hit the side of a barn since his 55pt game.

He shoots way too many jumpers and way too early, often disregarding the shot clock and his team mates, looking like not just a ball hog but like he thinks he is a god or something.

I can't stand him or his game.

That 55 point game might be the worst thing to happen to him. He only settles for long jumpers now.

KD and Melo are tied for most FTM's per game at 8.6. The top three in FTA's are Lebron, Melo and KD. There is a 0.2 difference between three of them. Essentially, they each average 10 FT's per game.

KD has 22 straight games of scoring 25+

I guess MJ holds the record for 40 games or something crazy like that.

Wow. I had no idea he was getting to the line that much. Besides some fastbreak/transistion dunks I have yet to see Durant take anything shorter than a 18 foot jumper. But I have a hard time watching the Zombie Sonics. Oh Seatle.
