Re: 2010 NBA Draft Thread.
What do the UMD/ACC fans think of Vasquez as a pro?
I had no faith in it but I'm starting to warm up to the idea, but don't really know why. I thought Wilcox (right), Dixon (right) and Blake (wrong) would flame out, but I'm on the fence with Greivis. I think his best chance would be with the Wiz bc of his energy and the fanbase that already feeds off of it. I don't know if I believe his shot and D can get up to an NBA level.
I think he could eventually be a solid 6/3/3 player in about 15-25 MPG.
I don't think he'll ever be a good starter, but I think he can find a place in the league. He's like the Tyler Handsbro of guards.Comment

Re: 2010 NBA Draft Thread.
Do you guys consider Greivis a better prospect coming out of college than say, Julius Hodge?
They both have kinda the same skillset. Both 4 year starters.Comment

Agreed. I'm on edge too waiting for it. In the mean time, NBADraft.net has posted results from the shooting drill:

Re: 2010 NBA Draft Thread.
I don't think they had that similar of a skill set. Hodge wasn't point guard nor could he create for others. He was funny as hell and really weird at least."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Pre-Draft Measurements sortable database: http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/
Edit: Wow, Trevor Booker ran the 3/4 court spring faster than everybody, including John Wall. Also has a 36 inch vertical and did 22 bench press reps, tied for second best.Last edited by Hassan Darkside; 05-29-2010, 04:40 PM.[NYK|DAL|VT]

Re: 2010 NBA Draft Thread.
BEST Case Scenario for Vasquez: Gets drafted by the Spurs late in the 1st or by the Celtics possibly in the 2nd. A team that preaches Defense first would be a perfect fit for him.
Worst Case: Getting drafted to any team other than the previous 2 I mentioned and he'll just end up bouncing from team to team because "he doesn't want or see the need to improve his defense". AKA Deshawn Stevenson 2.0.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2010 NBA Draft Thread.
I disagree. Hodge had playmaking skills and played a lot of point forward in Herb Sendek's princeton offense.Comment
