      .
The Nets will work out 11 players over the next week in four separate workouts.
They will host Nevada point guard Armon Johnson, Montana point guard Anthony Johnson, Serbian forward Marko Keseli and Bowiest forward Duke Crews on Wednesday morning.
In their second Wednesday session, they'll host Notre Dame point guard Tory Jackson, Louisville point guard Edgar Sosa, Baylor forward Ekpe Udoh and Georgetown forward Greg Monroe.
On Thursday, they'll host a one-on-one workout with Syracuse forward Wes Johnson.
The last of the four workouts will come Monday, June 21 when they have Georgia Tech forward Derrick Favors and Kentucky big man DeMarcus Cousins in.

        http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/201...ach_avery.html

DeMarcus Cousins and Derrick Favors get, uh, favored treatment three days before the draft when they go head-to-head in a battle for the #3 draft position. But they aren't the only bigs who will get the lookover before the draft.
Two PF's who are lottery-bound, Georgetown's 6'11" Greg Monroe and Baylor's 6'10" Epke Udoh, will be in Wednesday morning. Also in this week: potential late first round picks: Armon Johnson, Nevada's 6'3" PG, will work out Tuesday.
As reported, Wesley Johnson, Syracuse's 6'7"SF, is in Thursday alone and Favors and Cousins go at it on June 21. The Nets have also set aside time on June 23, the day before the Draft, for last minute workouts.
That close to the draft, teams will often work out a rising star or a one they want give a second look.

He must have had an injury or a bad day or something. He's definitely got a better vert than that.

Don't understand the Cousins vs. Favors matchup....doubt there's anything new the Nets will learn. Cousins will score at will on Favors down low and Favors will drive around Boogie on the perimeter. One's a behemoth center, the other an agile power forward who's still growing into his body. Then again, this is the Nets we're talking about so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I thought about that as well and agree. Maybe want to see who has the fire the most?? Other than that, nothing to learn.

That could be it. Would be very surprised if they went with Cousins thought...I doubt he and Lopez would be able to play together. Offensively it could probably work but they would struggle together on defense.

If Cousins is a Center then why the hell would we draft another one and no we won't and shouldn't consider moving Lopez to the 4 either.

I think Avery Bradley will be the steal of this draft if he drops below the top 10.
I think Bradley will be a huge project at the next level. Another in the ever-growing line of Texas guards w/o a position.

I agree. I don't think he'll be very successful in the NBA.

Way to slow of a release for Favors. He almost shoots on the way down.

Cousins J looked much improved. I know it's easy to knock them down when no one is checking you but the footwork, release, and comfort level looked much better than the last time we saw him.

Yeah, as we've discussed, Favors has extremely poor skills and this is just another example of it.

Favors' type of player doesn't have a good track record in the NBA. You can have all of the athleticism in the world (Swift, Tyrus Thomas, etc) but you still need skills and an IQ if you're going to stand out in this league. I think he'll be a decent pro but will never live up to his Top 3 billing.

Yeah, his form isn't horrible by any means, it just looks more suited for a wing player. If he gets that release on his apex he could develop into a very solid shooter with reps in the gym. That being said I never really liked any parts of his game.
