Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Lebron is all about image, so I don't think he goes to Miami.
Think about it...If "The Miami 3" don't win a title, it will be considered the biggest team fail ever. If they do win a title, people will be saying LBJ had to have 2 other superstars to win anything.
I have trouble believing LBJ would be cool with that.
I still think it's between Cleveland and NY.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Exactly. This is the reason that they lose in the playoffs. They need to run a gotdamn offense. Byron Scott will give them that. Lebron knows this and, therefore he remains in Cleveland.Originally posted by My Wife"The Celtics only won because they have a magical elf playing for their team...."Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I've been sitting here baffled by this myself.
I'll put it like this. If LeBron had Dwights cast, we wouldn't have spent the last two weeks scrambling around the web trying to figure out where LeBron was going to land. He would've confirmed that he was staying in Cleveland on July 1st, if not seasons end.Comment

Hold on, who exactly was "comparing" the Magic and Cavs rosters because all I've seen were a bunch of people all saying "The Magic Can make the Playoffs without Dwight", "The Lakers can make the Playoffs without Kobe" and a whole bunch of other hypotheticals that'll never be proven.#RespectTheCultureComment

And to anyone who's holding on to hope that he remains in Cleveland. I believe that ship has sailed.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I didn't watch enough Cavs games to know exactly what they were doing on O during the regular season but I know they were running, I know Hickson was playing and I know Mo and West spent more time controlling the offense. It seems that playoff time, Mike Brown decided the offense should be a 1-4 clear out 90% of the time with Lebron deciding how things would flow, along with keeping the runners on the bench.
Fisher is proven at what? He's a great role player but if his team didn't win the title he would never be mentioned in the same sentence as Mo Williams, and I'm not even calling Mo more than a decent player. Like I said in that post you quoted, Gasol was considered soft when they lost... now he's top 3. Winning does a lot for perception. And Artest would've been considered a waste if they lost. Shaq was brought in for defense too and he did that and more but now he's grouped with all the players that sucked around Lebron. I don't think Shaq's got much left but you're saying last year's team sucked and Shaq was on that team and played well in the playoffs.
Why isn't it that Boston matched up well against the Cavs? They did almost beat the Lakers after all, but somehow the Cavs losing to them is horrible. Why can't we evaluate the performance of Howard's teammates when Boston didn't have to double team him?
Once again it's not the lost it's how they lost. Jamison ,Mo ,Shaq, Jamario, Parker, and West give them nothing. And Hickson couldnt get in the game. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

That ship was nuclear powered and went warp 9 as soon the Cavs season ended. Lebron was like ensign warp 9, anywhere but here, make it so.Comment

Btw, the Lakers beat Boston in game 7 with minute offensive production from Kobe. I can't pass this off as fact, but I'd bet my mortgage that the Cavs lost any and every game in which LeBron shot 25% from the field. Well, upward of 90%.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Proving wrong that they're healthy? How about the biggest defensive presence in the league is taken off the team... and the offense is built with a bunch of perimeter players that get open bc of doubling him. Remember how the Celtics didn't have to double team Howard and the others struggled to score? LBJ is better than Howard, no doubt. But that team is built around Howard much like the Cavs are built around James. Any team built around one player will take a big hit if you remove that player.
Ok, now taking PPM's lead bc this is a tired argument that should've been buried when it came up during the playoffs.Comment

Exactly my original thoughts on the subject. It is a very convenient excuse. I can understand if you are a #4 seed, but not when you have homecourt THROUGHOUT the playoffs. It is just too funny. I am done with this, lol.
I may even have to root for the Lakers in the Finals this year.
Unless you're in Miami, I think it's a very hard team to root for.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I don't understand how people can say "Lebron" is good enough to win 60 games, by himself no less, and in the same breath say that "the team" is not good enough to win in the playoffs?
You cannot convince me that if your TEAM can win 60+ games in the regular season, two years straight, but your team is not good enough to win a championship.
Regular season success doesn't equal post-season success. Mo Williams isn't a good point guard, Jamison isn't a good power forward, Shaq is 37 and Anthony Parker shouldn't be starting anywhere in the NBA. LeBron carried this team, and when the playoffs rolled around, nobody else was there to show up when he disappeared after the Celtics planned for him.
I'm done arguing that, because no matter how many times I repeat their starting lineup and compare it to other teams of similar regular season success, it just doesn't register to some. LeBron made Cleveland. Without him, they would be a lottery team.Comment

We're not allowed to discuss hypotheticals on a basketball forum?

But hey, at least will see history being made next year though.#RespectTheCultureComment
