I'm neither on that list so you'd be wrong in that assessment.

LeBron however and his team are really painted the villains today. This whole free agency has shown the true character of these guys with yesterday being the exclamation point.
      Bingo.

I don't think camp Lebron thought this would have as much backlash as it did. This will be very similar to rooting against the Yankees, Cowboys or Patriots.

There is now a target on the backs of the Heat team.

There is plenty of room on the Bobcat Bandwagon! We are in the same division, so we will need all the support we can get. All aboard!

By the way, Dan Gilbert is the man. Can't wait for him to drop some more info on what "really happened" in the Cavs/Celtics Series. He better watch his back though, Stern will have his eye on him in the worst way.

Lebron's situation is unique in that he's a non-college superstar, who was drafted #1 overall, and by the team closest to his hometown in his home state. He brought Cavs basketball to new heights, but ultimately left the state and the city wanting more.....and after the conf. semis exit...deserving more.

Ohio hasn't enjoyed any sort of professional chip in decades, and Lebron was thought to be the one to do it. He meant as much to CLE as Jim Brown did to some extent, but unlike Brown LBJ never gave CLE anything tangible other than some flashy play, a few seasons of REGULAR SEASON dominance, and a nice little side show of blowing chalk into the air and all the other antics.

I'm not a CLE fan, resident, etc...but as a Philadelphia sports fan, a fan of teams considered in the sports world to be perennial, hardluck, born losers, I can emphathize with the many who feel LBJ slighted his hometown and its fans.

Unlike many players on any of those Philly teams though, they never tore the hearts out of their once proud fanbase. They stayed, gutted it out, and are remembered for what triumph they did achieve and are respected.

There's likely little respect for Lebron in the state of Ohio I can definitely see why. Had AI left in this fashion, had an hour long ESPN special about it, and strung us along for the better part of a year I'd be burning his jersey too.

If anything he did after that piss poor performance in this year's postseason, but you're a MIA fan and a Lebron apologist now so....

I thought Favre coming back to Lambeau in a Vikings Uni was bad(and it was BTW)so I already know it'll be 100x worse when he goes back to Cleveland for the first time.

If he's smart, he'll tell Moms to stay at home for this one because I could really see her getting the same treatment that Carlos Boozer's Mom got when he was at dook and they played against MD in College Park. If anybody remembers that, they know that it wasn't a pretty sight.

I can't stand how LeBron and Bosh have acted throughout this whole ordeal so that sours my view on them BIGTIME, but as far as the actual act of teaming up in Miami, I don't know if I have much of a problem with it. It's legal, it's a free market decision. If they want to be on a team with two superstars, one damn good player, one solid role player, and a bunch of worthless and/or washed up players then let them. They're not gonna win anyway if that's gonna be the case.

I wonder if the whole James clan will move down to Miami? I doubt they'll be feeling the love in Akron anymore.

WOW! I really thought he would stay with the Cavs.

There are a lot of cry babies in this thread.

If you're after rings (what every NBA player should be playing for) then this is a smart choice. James, Wade and Bosh, that's some serious talent on your starting five.

Most people are throwing a hissy fit, and it's funny to watch.

A lot of armchair experts are already eating their words after being so certain that this wouldn't happen, and now I read all the comments here saying the Heat aren't going to win a ring, do you people honestly think your predictions should be taken seriously judging by your track records?

Too many know-it-alls who think their word is gospel on this site, but at least it's been entertaining to watch them be so wrong and throw tantrums because things didn't go their way.

My thoughts exactly. I laughed out loud when ESPN projected 66 wins for this team with them only having 4 players signed. I still think Boston and Orlando are better teams in the East and they still arent ****ing with my Lakers in the west.

Actually it does disqualify him from being a GOAT. GOAT's are the clear #1 option for a championship team and with this Miami team it will be hard to argue that he is the #1 option.

                              Question for everyone:

Game on the line, 5 sec left, who's taking the last shot for this team? Lebron? Wade? Thats the problem with this team. Every team needs a clear crunch time #1 option. Damn near every championship team has had one. I dont think this Heat team does.

                                Nope.

I'm questioning how the move was made. This move was in the works 4 yrs ago with all three of them.

Jordan and Pippen and a cast of 1000 don't even compare to the Super 3.
