I dont understand why people keep taking shots at LeBron and Co.. Everybody is just adding fuel to the fire. If this team stays healthy they win it all this year. Their going to be so fired up to shush the haters.

I just cant see Big Z or Joel Anthony being fired up enough to even slow down Bynum and Gasol

And I don't really see anyone on LA being able to consistently contain James and Wade or their ability to create for others.

All the people who are commenting on Miami's bigs are going to be in for surprise

During the playoffs I could foresee a swarming Miami defense that could mask their inside defensive/rebounding deficiencies. Wade/James will be playing like madmen on the defensive side ala the Olympics. Both of those guys love to rebound the ball, and that's what it'll come down to, because Bynum/Pau aren't 'dominant' inside players so to speak. They do a lot of damage if they can get second and third chances at the rim.

Bosh/Wade/James' ability rebound the ball will help them out with their zombie big men.

I think people are taking a real simplistic view of this Miami team, it's either 'they're penciled into the Finals' or 'they don't have big men, they'll lose for sure against ORL/BOS/LA'.

I guess we'll see. Either way I can't wait for the season to begin. Gotta do League Pass this season. I missed having it last year.

Bynum is always injuried so the only way he will have a decisive advantage is if he's healthy. Other wise he is a Big Z who cant shoot. Gasol will have his hands full with Bosh. So most likey these matchup are pushes.

Gasol will have his hands full with Bosh?

Uh, yeah, but OTOH, there is no way in hell Bosh is going to be able to guard Gasol.

And this is why I said those match-ups are pushes. Why do you guys just miss the key things and see what you want?

Because Gasol is a much bigger threat on the offensive end than Bosh ever will be to the Lakers.

Bosh will be lucky to get anything over 15 points against the Lakers, per game.

Put it a little more clearly: Gasol can guard Bosh, Bosh cannot guard Gasol.

This. And Odom can probably guard Bosh too. Kobe and Artest can slow Lebron and Wade down a little bit. They'll still light it up but they can at least slow them down and make them work for it. The Heat bigs can't do that with the Lakers bigs.

How would Bosh be lucky to average 15 against LA?

Andrew and Pau are defensive bruisers?

Where's my man Born at around this time of the year? His knowledge is missing around these parts SMH.

Andrew and Pau are defensive bruisers?
Compared to Bosh and Anthony/Z they are.

But then again, if Gasol's a defensive bruiser then what's Marc? Defensive Juggernaut?

                            Hahaha

Well I was just asking the dude how Bosh would be lucky to put up 15 ppg against LA. I don't think that's too much to ask for at all really. Making it sound like LA has Dwight Howard or something

Pau has improved quite a bit in his post defense but any of the cream of the crop big men can still have their way with Pau [Boozer/Amare/Bosh etc. etc. etc.]

Andrew is obviously a load but he is foul prone and is easily frustrated by smaller opponents Carl Landry cough Paul Milsap cough Big Baby cough

The funny thing is, if a big is really killing the Heat, then the Heat could just put LeBron on him, and probably do fine. I bet LeBron could guard Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol just fine.
I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.
