No I am not kidding I just wanted to know what he could have done for it to be accepted and not be ripped a new one. I personally think the only way Bron would not have been criticized is if he would have stayed in Cleavland.
It didn't matter what else or how else if he left for another team he would be torn to shreds. By the way its the non Cleavland fans im talking bout I can understand them being upset regardless of the situation.

Non Cleveland fans wouldn't care if he himself didn't make the entire ordeal such a big deal. If he had told Cleveland he wasn't coming back and then signed with Miami, people would be like "Wow, I didn't see that coming." and that would be that. But The Decision pretty much destroyed him in a lot of the public's eyes. But that's all I can really say about that cuz I hated him before hand.

The Decision is the biggest reason I can't stand LeBron. He doesn't do that, I might be a little excited about what the Heat do. Donating proceeds to charity don't mean squat. He did Cleveland wrong by making them find out on national television, like they're a bunch of spectators and he's the star above everything and everybody that we're so blessed to be able to "Witness" him.

Yeah, yeah. "We" made him into that. So it's of "our" creation. Would be nice if a larger than life person were still capable of humility.

            Just curious...

Was "The Decision" his idea? Or did ESPN come to him proposing that he should do a one hour special to which he accepted?

I don't think it was necessarily his decision. It was the guys around him that made the choice to go to ESPN and talk about doing the show.

                It definitely wasn't ESPN's idea.

LeBron's crew hand-picked the interviewer. And I believe there was an article stating LeBron and company came to ESPN with the idea.

I read it in an article somewhere. Might have been a Bill Simmons column but I'm not completely sure since it was after the entire backlash of LeDecision when the interwebz exploded with all of the hate.

LeBron obviously had a hand in choosing to go forward with it, but I remember reading that it was mostly Maverick Carter and all those guys that came up with the idea and pitched it to ESPN, who obviously accepted.

I don't blame ESPN at all for airing it either. To be the first spot to break one of the biggest pieces of sports news ever is too good of an opportunity to pass up.

...And I'm right there with BnG. Thats why I was thinking that maybe ESPN had pitched the idea to him first and not the other way around.

^^^Bottomline here. Basically if LeBron says 'no' show doesn't happen, world keeps spinning, James Heat jerseys are selling like hotcakes to more than just legit Heat fans, bandwagon Heat fans and the two fans he has left. We're treating this question as if he had no choice but to do it if it wasn't his idea. I'm sure 'no' would've came up pretty quick if whoever suggested he come out wearing only the jersey of his decision and a trenchcoat and he flashed the live and viewing audience.

My problem with it wasnt the fact that it was done it was how it was done. It was a lot of wasted time that could have been used to talk about other things before LeBron made his choice.

LeBron got to make up for missing out on being recruited out of high school, revenue was generated for young kids, and basketball became relevant in July. Win-win for everybody.

What did people really expect? A mute person doesn't require an hour to announce a decision.

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

MY biggest problem, that I can't believe hasn't been talked about more, or at all...

is the way he upstaged Bosh and Wade from the day or two before when they announced TOGETHER that they would both be in Miami.

But no....LeBron is too important to be involved in that, right?

So much for him being all about the team. He screwed that up months ago.
