There's a huge difference between Chris Bosh and Lebron.

One is on a top 3 team in the NBA while another has the worst management and long term supporting cast in the NBA. One is playing for his hometown and the other is playing for a team nobody wants to play for.

Chris Bosh has been gone for 2 years and every has known it. Lebron may very well be leaving, but if he is it's a very recent decision.

LOL at people analyzing those quotes. He's not saying anything, he's answering the questions that are asked in the most neutral and uncontroversial way possible. He said nice things about the Clippers because he was asked about the Clippers. He said the Cavs have an edge because what's he supposed to say about the team he's spent his whole career with.

Why? Cleveland's teams have sucked for a long time (in his lifetime anyway) so if he liked another team because his hometown team was garbage isn't telling of anything. There is no law written down anywhere that you have to be a hardcore fan of whatever team is in your city/state. I also don't think he's playing the people of Cleveland. A lot of people in Cleveland are just idiots and taking this LeBron thing too far and are being unfair that this kid should have to handicap his future and career just for them because they act like they're going to need to be on suicide watch if he leaves. It's not LeBron's or any one person's (short of the mayor) job to keep Cleveland a relevant place in the country.

There will be no suicide watch in Cleveland if LeBron leaves.

There will, however, be a massive **** LeBron campaign if he leaves. If he decides to go somewhere else without winning a title because he simply "cannot do it" in Cleveland, then he's all talk anyway.

As much as the national media and fans of other teams don't want to admit it, Cleveland is still the best spot for LeBron. A owner willing to spend top dollar, a fan base that will literally treat him like a king, being the biggest show in town BY FAR, and having a team that was pretty much made for him. Not to mention getting to have all that and still play in front of his hometown and a lot of his friends, I think that is something you cannot ignore.

I was very careful to say "a lot of Cleveland fans" in my post, because I know there are people like yourself who aren't complete friggin idiots. I was referring to all the people making videos and sending kids and Cleveland mascots begging the guy not to "do this to Cleveland" and yadda yadda that are acting like they're going to jump out a window with the way they're humiliating themselves over the guy. People that are putting all this pressure on this guy to be Cleveland's end all, be all and how he's gonna hurt them economically and all this other crap. That's completely unfair to him to put him in that kind of position.

All your opinion. Knicks and Nets both have owners that will spend whatever it takes. Maybe Bulls too, I'm not really sure. But I think most franchises would spend whatever it takes while they have Lebron in his prime. Fanbase? The Knicks have one of, if not the best fanbase in the league, one that has waited 10 years just to have a relevant team again. Biggest show in town is true I guess, but he's certainly not going to be overshadowed in New York or Chicago. When the Knicks are good the Garden is the place to be. I don't think Cleveland having no other good sports teams is a reason for him to stay. LOL @ Kash's comment. Ya'll must've been REALLY bored today because I don't see how you could take ANYTHING from what he said on there that gives any one of your teams an advantage over the other.

And yes if he wants to win a Championship NOW, then Cleveland is his best option out of all the available options right now. Now 2-4 years down the line, that's a different story altogether.

The fanbase is tied to the hometown. It's not a knock on fans anywhere else but I look at how AI's hometown reacted to him getting locked up. They were heart broken at the thought that he may not get to play in college, let alone the NBA in a different city. These people have been worshiping at Lebron's feet since he was in 8th grade. I'm not saying he cares all that much about that, but it's definitely a level of loyalty and love that no other team can offer. If Lebron never won a title and retired (and eventually went into the HOF) as a Cav, they'd all still love him. I don't see that in NY.

I also think it's a stretch to say they don't seem to be any closer to getting to a championship. Yeah they screwed the pooch in the playoffs this year and came up short last year, but the regular season records at least show that they've put together some very, very, very good teams. There's no reason to think that slight tweaks may not be all that's needed to get over the hump. Even with the thought of building these all star teams, a 2011 Cavs team with Lebron is still closer to being championship material than any other team on the list with him in 2011. Going forward may be debatable but the further down the line you go, the more "what ifs" come into play no matter where he goes. Consider that if Jamison finished out on the Wiz this year and was available, he'd be thought of as an option not much different than anyone else talked about not named Wade. Any combination of these guys gelling together is just speculation at this point.

He would be overshadowed in New York. The Yankees will always be the biggest show in town in that city. Chicago...well, if the Cubs were ever good, that would overshadow him *much like if the Browns were any good.

The Knicks and Nets owners are what they are. I would never trust my career over to a Dolan owner. They seem to all be completely and totally clueless. And this new Nets owner would spend the money but would he do it the right way or would he spend just to spend? Besides, I heard the Nets owner and GM are very interested in Mike Brown.

As for the fanbase, I will not doubt that the Knicks have a loyal and good fanbase. But people in Cleveland have treated him like a God here, allowed him to basically do whatever he wants, including the LeIso, without any criticism. I think we both know that would NEVER happen in New York. If he went to New York, the very first game they lost with him, people would start calling him overrated and a ball hog.

And the Cavaliers are closer to winning. If LeBron were to come back, then the Cavaliers have a lot more flexibility to getting someone signed and traded to their team like a Joe Johnson or maybe even a Chris Bosh. Put one of those guys on the Cavaliers and they should be title contenders. However, at this point, this team should already be title contenders.

There is no team with cap space that could sign LeBron and be in a better situation to win a title next year or the year after than the Cavaliers. Which is why I still think he signs a 3 year deal with the Cavaliers and if he doesn't win one by then he could easily move on and still have a lot of fans in his hometown.
