Not necessarily true. The Cavs were a good team too from 87-91. We were one of the teams that was giving the Bulls fits. We didn't win titles but we were in the Playoffs.

True statements. Especially the early 80's. I really hated the Celtics back then.

Anyway, meh, I thought they'd be better, at least contending for the 8th spot. I also had no idea that the team had no fight whatsoever in them...thought they would show more heart and hustle.
They showed no heart in the playoff for the past few years(which is why LeBron left in the 1st place) why would you believe they would just pull it out of thin air?
You looking at the Chair MAN!

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

Nobody thought they would be THIS bad so let's all be realistic and stop pretending like you knew this would happen.

realistic is knowing a team who consists of mo, ant parker, moon, varajao, jamison, and hickson werent going to do anything wirth getting excited about....they are who I thought they were...a team at the bottom of the EC...

If you had playoff aspirations for this team I praise your optimism....

Dawg, you're talking to the same person who witnessed the mess that was 12-70 last year so I have a pretty good idea what bad and THAT was bad and THIS what's going on now isn't even close to that level of badness LOL.

I don't think too many folks expected playoffs but I don't think anyone expected them to play AND look(two different things here)this bad, new Coach or not.

Lol, I feel you man......but I did. They were picked in the media as being this bad too, so its not really far fetched.

I mean, you look at their roster?

They are probably THE only team in the league who doesnt have a "guy", or even a semblance of a "guy" LOL. They are the shattered remains of a team built around a player who is no longer there.

The only thing im suprised about is that they started as well as they did.

Sorry OSU, lol...I was a Spurs fan in 98, I feel your pain.

I don't know man. I know when I looked at the roster before the season started, I wasn't expecting them to be a playoff team but I definitely didn't look at it and say to myself "This has NJ Nets Potential(since that's the standard for being just god awful sorry) written all over it and even still I can see them winning 20-25 games.

Now I'm not saying they're going to be competitive and be in every single game the rest of the way or anything, but I don't expect them to finish with the worst record in the league or even challenge NJ's record last year either because this team is nowhere near as bad as we were nor is their coaching is as bad as ANY of our Coaches from last year either.

IDK, I think this year's Cavs will barely break the 20 win mark. Even Minne-****ing-sota is in a better position than them.

How far this team has fallen.....

I will step up and say that I was one of those people who said they could get the eighth seed in the East. Of course I was under the impression that LeBron didn't leave Cleveland with goodie bags filled with the manhood of the entire team. The bottom of the East is terrible and we all know this so to act like it would take a complete miracle for them to get an eight seed going into the year is a little ridiculous. I just didn't buy a team that won 60+ and 55 games could be THIS bad without one player. If they had any heart whatsoever they would still be competing for that last spot, but instead here we are.

Which is reason 1 that he left in the first place. #2 has got to be Dan Gilbert. Its not the fans or the city of Cleveland, But he knew basketball wise that he had the chance to be apart of something great and bigger than him. Alot like Cliff Lee leaving my Rangers and going to the Phillies, I can't be mad or blame him either. When you have the chance to be apart of something historic, you do it.

You are smarter than this. The only Cavalier that quit in the playoffs was LeBron. He knew he was going to Miami anyway and decided he had enough.
