Re: The LeBron James Thread
^^ That's pretty easy to say lol and totally agree ^^
What shooting guards in the league now go down low for baskets? lol I actually can't think of anyone. Boniz Wells retired a while back right? He was nice down low lol
But my comment about Kobe is not that he doesn't have a post game. When I look at Kobe's touches down low. I just think most teams are not that scared when he post up. You rarely see him get double down low.
Only thing I wish LeBron did watch a lot of the playoffs when they ran post up plays is that he didn't wait. And that he fought for his position near/closer to the basket.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Dwyane Wade (ironic huh) has also been developing hist post game and he's used a pretty good fallaway jumper all season. That's another 2 that comes to mind (there really isn't a premium on Shooting Guards in the league anymore...the Point Guards are taking over)Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Kobe's post game is infinitely better than LeBron's post game, from what I've observed over the years.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
LeBron's post game is atrocious. I can't believe this is really being argued.
Another case where he relies too much on his strength and athleticism. No technical skill. Horrendous footwork. Only way he gets position is using his size and is easily pushed off his spots by any solid defender, and no real go to move besides the turn around fade away.
Yea, good post game.
To compare his post game to Kobe is laughable, that's been Kobe's bread and butter for the better part of a decade. LeBron's bread and butter is running "LeIso" and standing with the ball for 18 seconds then charging the lane or taking a contested jumper.Last edited by 1Rose; 08-12-2011, 11:14 AM.Comment

Brandon Roy comes to mind when you think about 2 guards with a post game.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Like I said... Kobe's post game is better than LeBron's. I would say Kobe has more moves down low then LeBron has at this point. But Kobe doesn't draw double teams down like LeBron does. Teams are more willing to cover Kobe one on one than LeBron down low.
People have been over blowing the whole LeBron has no post game at all down low. I will agree he holds the ball too long at times when he gets it.
Can anyone get the percentage of times both those players get double teamed in the post? The only stat I can get is that LeBron shoots a high percentage from the post then Kobe does. LeBron 54.4 to Kobe' 49.3 (in the post).
Was just reading this article on espn. Some pretty weird stuff in there.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Man **** it, I'll start it up because I'm about damn tired of seeing jeebs continue to bump this thread up everytime it's about to fade to black LOL.
Lebron James is the most overrated player in NBA History and is a choke artist and will never win a championship with his bandwagoning ***.
Kobe Bryant is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Lebron. Always has and always will be and Lebron will never be more than a Robin on his team EVER.
There I said now lock this sumabitch up so it can finally be Locked In Peace.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I'll contribute to 'blowing up' I guess
The fact that people even debate LeBron being the GOAT or being that Jordan is comical. How many times does he have to prove that he's not Jordan, will never be Jordan, will never be better than Jordan, etc? You can call me a jaded Cleveland fan all you want, but he just keeps proving my (and everyone else's) point when he shrinks in the spotlight. He's got all of the tools to be better than Jordan, but lacks it between the ears.
"Damn, D-Wade just yelled at me. Oh well. Whatever."
"Damn, Boston is whooping our ***. Oh well. Whatever."
"Damn, people are harping on me for under-performing. Oh Well. Whatever"
When **** doesn't go the way he wants it to, he quits. I don't know why because it didn't used to be like that (see 2007 Cavs season). But when things go his way, he's great (Boston/Chicago series) but when things don't go his way (Dallas comes back from down 20 to win game 2 or whatever it was/Wade yells at him) he shrivels up (pause).
You could be Magic/Bird/Jabbar/Jordan all rolled into one but it doesn't matter if you don't give a damn. He's still a ****ing teenager at heart/mind and I don't see that changing anytime soon. There's a reason he still doesn't have a post game, and that's because HE doesn't want to have one. HE wants to handle the ball and play iso ball all game. HE wants to be the center of attention. Yeah, well have fun living in Jordans shadow dude.
I hate to say it (because I feel it's an overused term) but he lacks the killer instinct to be Jordan. Jordan got his *** BEAT by Boston/Detroit/whoever the hell and you didn't see him pouting and ****, he came back and danced on their face with 6 rings. You don't see that kind of thing from LeBron, except when he feels like showing it (against Boston/Chicago/Game 1 vs Dallas).
It's almost like you need to piss him off or something to get him to perform at his best (Dwight imitates his chalk toss, dude drops 50. First game back in Cleveland, dude drops 38 in 2 1/2 quarters, playoff series vs Boston/Chicago dude goes ape ****, etc etc) and that's the wrong mindset to have.
To be honest, I could give a damn about what he does off the court. You wanna wear "Check my stats" shirts or dunk on campers or have a tape of you getting dunked on confiscated, whatever dude, do what you want, but on the court I'm gonna expect you to give 100%, 100% of the time, not when you feel like it.
Like I said, take this as a jaded Cleveland fan all you want but it's the truth.
idk if that's enough blowing up to warrant a lock but I tried, LOL.Browns

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Why the hell y'all fools tryin to get this thread locked lol? You know LeBron bigheaded *** just gon do some stupid **** the second we get this thing closed and it's gonna have to get opened right back up so we can take the dead horse that is the whole 'taking my talents to South Beach' and use that to beat the new horse to death. This thread is never going away unless Bron falls off the face of the Earth at some point or dies. Dude is 27 years old and ridiculously rich. If his *** ain't developed the maturity to be above 'I'm LeBron James, I'm supposed to get whatever I want, I'm the King....**** y'all then, I ain't doing it' by now, he will never develop it. You have to stand to lose something you care deeply and passionately about to spark change and obviously dude don't have a passion for winning. He's got a passion for ego stroking and being a billionaire and I can't see him doing nothing to put his money in jeopardy anytime soon.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Good post, Sqeezy. Agree on almost all points.
One things regarding Brons killer instinct tho, my take is that he does have one, but doesn't know what to do with it. Looks like he tries to be Kobe and MJ in those moments, and those are the worst parts of his game, IMO.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment
