Think you're taking my post too literally wwharton lol. Point is, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bron go that route. Let me once again state for the record though, I'm not saying that's what's going to happen, but from what I see of LeBron from the outside looking in, he strikes me as the type that would think of that as something cool to do and/or would just be comfortable walking away from the game.

ESPN just said LeBron was shooting 71% over the past 3 games and then went 9 for 11 tonight against the Clippers.. Ridiculous.
I didn't rewind to double check but it sounded like they said that raised his % to 73.. Also he's had 30+ in those 4 games.

Also, not wanting to get back into the whole skill/talent thing, but he's making most of these plays by getting good position and taking the shots he wants rather than by using his sheer athleticism.
If he can keep improving on this part of his game he should be fine as he ages.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I really hope he doesn't get robbed of it this year because they want a new guy to win it or feel that it's Kevin Durant's time instead.
And about PEDs, I think it's more likely LeBron uses rather than doesn't. It is kind of hard to believe a guy his size and with the amount he's been used in his career that he's been this durable.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. A part of me doesn't want LBJ to win it for the sake of seeing something new, but MAN, you can't deny the guy is just incredible this year..Comment

In the same sense I don't think Lebron would make a premeditated move like that either. It'd shiw immaturity on the level of the decision and I think he's learned from that.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
As much as I want Carmelo to win an MVP, there's no justification for him taking it over LeBron James if this continues."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I almost wish Durant would have just gotten it last season looking back because LeBron more than deserves it this season.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
been thinking about this for awhile now and with lebron playing at such a high level i actually think its the perfect time to ask it. while it may seem like a silly question at 1st, take a second and stop to think about it 4 a sec.
is lebron overhyped? not overrated. clearly he is not overrated. so please lets not confuse the 2 words. but overhyped im not as clear on.
and ill give an anology that expresses better what im asking.
if we here on this OS board were all in a street gang, you'd have some ppl here who would be considered BGs, some Gs and other OGs. but you wouldnt get any more credit than you've earned. in other words you wouldnt be allowed to lay claim to stripes you havent actually earned nomatter the quality of your current work. so a G could never be confused with an OG, no matter how promising the G was.
and a part of me feels like this is what is happening with lebron. in this anology he is G status. But i feel like too many folks (fans & media) are already giving lebron OG status. and to go even futher when he was just a BG (great player), it seems like he was already getting too much G (champion) status love.
i understand the potential and projecting aspect of it, but he's got so much more work to put in b4 he can even be considered for OG (atleast 3 chips)status.
every other OG athlete in the history of sports has had to climb so many accomplishment hurdles set by their predecesors (mostly chips); i was wonder is there some type of end game going on here as to why lebron seems he he gets a clearer path to OG love than any other athlete b4 him. is it simple this new stats-centric era that we live in?
i hope that we can have a sincere convo about this cause im quite curious to here ppl response.
again this question is not trying to take anything away from what lebron is currently doing, but rather we are asking why does he get so much OG love when he is really just a G. this is a sincere question on my part.Last edited by TajDeni; 02-11-2013, 05:54 PM.Through Holy Union God Lives Inside For Everyone
