Re: The LeBron James Thread
Doesn't matter...there is less maturity nowadays period and people who throw anything out there just to put out a story even when there isnt one.
ESPN is worse than TMZ but they're still out there. They even sell you insider accounts that only have stories from other teams city newspapers and no real insider information... but people still watch and go to their site all the time.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
The media said he never passed (that was right before he was moved to point and ran off those 7 triple doubles in a row). They said he had a huge gambling problem and criticized him for going out to gamble the night before a playoff or finals game (can't remember which it was). There have been tons of stories about his infidelity. There is absolutely no doubt that if he came into the league today with the way news and "fake news" flies out the door he'd be one of the most hated athletes in all sports. Still loved by many but vocally hated a ton.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
A TON of people hated MJ. Said he was overrated, said he walked every time he put up a shot, said he got superstar calls on offense and got away with fouls on D... and that was just on the court.

Interesting stat from ESPN:
Monday night LeBron went 13-14 against the bobcats with every shot coming from inside the paint.
According to ESPN LeBron's FG% from 5foot in is 76%..
Which may not seem like a big deal but when looking at the league leaders in FG% 1.Chandler 67%, 2.Splitter 60%, 3. Jordan 59%, 4. Howard 58%, 5. McGee 56%...
It's very impressive considering he is that far ahead of those guys who hardly ever take shots outside of 5feet from the basket... Especially considering LeBron's post game is "lacking".Comment
