Re: The LeBron James Thread
Is it weird to root for a player not on your team? Then again this Lebron love isn't something new. I've been on his bandwagon since seeing him play live in high school and I think I've consistently shown that on here since I joined.
But whatever....Last edited by JerzeyReign; 06-21-2013, 10:58 PM.#WashedGamerComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
P.S. i'm pretty jealous of one of my boys from high school who works for the NBA and mainly the Miami Heat, got to party with them in the locker room after the game, gets a new pair of Lebron X's it seems like everyday and is boys with all the players. I'd even take that gig. But my man Jimmy Ice worked hard to get where he is so i'm glad to see him doing his thing.Attached Files- 382256feda3711e298d422000ae80031_7.jpg (81.5 KB, 119 views)

Re: The LeBron James Thread
lebron is the GOAT*my opinion, i dont measure rings when evaluating individual players*
.no other player *atleast to my knowledge* has had his athleticism, size, vision, IQ, potential, ability to get better every season, and talent all in 1 package
was still saying this when he had no rings, so steelers freak please dont talk for everyoneOriginally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Yeah but I mean LeBron already had a huge fan base or anti-fan base prior to coming to Miami.. In that finals every "h@te LeBron" bandwagoner cheered for Dirk.. It was just funny to see so many people instantly act like they were the biggest Dirk and Mavs fans around.. Maybe I noticed this one more just because it was so many people I personally knew. It's one thing to cheer for one team over the other, it's another thing to act like you've been a lifelong fan lol.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
And again, the same thing your saying applies to Lebron and his fans as well, lol.
But I also remember that he didn't have THIS many people that we're anti-Lebron like there have been post-Decision.
But those times don't matter now since that's back in the past.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Right? Some of the people that were defending Dirk were the same people I had seen ON HERE call him out regularly for being too soft to win a championship.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide
University of North Texas '14

or is this a "it applies to Lebron too" to even out the argument? lol
There was nothing like the Dirk Mania that went on here in 2011Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Never said there was so I'm not sure how you got that out of my post.
Has nothing to do with try to "even out the argument" so again, not sure how you came to that conclusion.
Who suddenly starting cheering for LeBron that wasn't before? People who hated Durant or the Thunder?Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 06-22-2013, 01:30 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
i'm a Lebron fan, not a Heat fan. I rooted for him when he was in Cleveland and for Cleveland to win a title and I root for him in Miami. Being from NJ we never really had a strong connection to a Pro team. I was a Nets fan as a young kid because Drazen Petrovic was my favorite player. Once he died I started rooting for the Bulls because Jordan was now my favorite player. After Jordan's 2nd retirement I became more casual watching the NBA so I didn't have a particular team or player I liked. Being the same age as Lebron I watched him closely while I was in high school, and around this time I was starting to be more than a casual NBA fan again.
I tend to root for individuals than teams. I like seeing the Spurs do well because they are the classiest organization and I love watching Duncan & Parker. I liked seeing the Sonics have some success is the late 90s because I liked Payton & Kemp. I like seeing Durant have success. Being from NJ it's just the way it is because we don't really have our own sports teams. Even teams like the Jets & Giants who play in NJ are still called New York. If you're from South Jersey, you tend to root for the Philly teams. If you're from north jersey its the New York teams.
But 2 teams I can never root for are the Knicks & Lakers. Knicks fans annoyed me growing up and I loved watching the Bulls beat them all the time in the playoffs. And the Lakers are very easy to root against as well. The only way i'd ever root for either one of those teams is if Lebron went there.Comment
