I just meant that when asked if Hakeem or LeBron was better you said the Rockets team would beat the Heat team.. They probably would, but that has nothing to do with Hakeem being better than LeBron or the other way around, they don't even play the same position, or have the same role..

That team would probably beat the Lakers most recent repeat team too.. If asked if Hakeem was a better player than Kobe I'm sure your response wouldn't be "could that repeat team beat Kobe's repeat team".

I wasn't trying to be a jerk though, I'm sorry.

I just meant that regardless of which team was better doesn't necessarily mean player A or player B is better.

In response to the question I think Houston would win, but that's not me saying Hakeem is better than LeBron..

No way could Chris Bosh guard Hakeem and with how bad him and Wade were with consistency this post season I'm lucky I even got to see my favorite player get a second ring this season.

i do think hakeems team could beat the lakers. that lakers championship team is prolly 1 of the worse championship teams, along with this 2013 heat team. in the playoffs not the reg season. in regular season they are one of the greatest teams ever.

its all good juice. again i didnt come in the thread today to bash ya boy. maybe another day but definately not today.

James is a far superior defender, rebounder, and passer that Bird. James just had a year where he shot 56.5% from the field. No one has ever had a year that efficient while scoring as much as he did. He's one of only 13 players with 20,000 points and 5,000 assists, and he's only 28. The scary part about LeBron is that he gets better every year.

I'm not sure people realize just how bad the Miami team would be without him. Their roster is made up of two incredibly inconsistent stars and a bunch of mediocre role players who are good almost exclusively due to LeBron being LeBron.
That no wasn't directed at the best SF of all time. That's up for grabs at this point to me between Bird and LeBron. LeBron is NOT top 5 all time though. At least not yet.

you take Larry Bird and i'll take Lebron James and my team will beat yours 9 out of 10 times. Larry couldn't cover Lebron in his best days. Do you honestly think Lebron couldn't guard Larry Bird? Lebron is a better passer, rebounder, defender, has more offensive weapons. Bird was a better shooter. I grew up watching Larry and love Larry Legend but you people need to stop thinking everything from the past was better just because that's what you grew up with. People holding on to childhood memories and can't admit when someone from the present day is better.

Who are you talking to right now? If its me, I just said I think its basically a toss up between Larry and LeBron for best SF, but I don't feel that LeBron is top 5 of all time just yet.

He's definitely up in the top 10 though.

If the Spurs get that offensive rebound in game 6 are we talking about LeBron the same way? Obviously his performance in game 7 was incredible, but if the Spurs come away with game 6, we'd be sitting here calling him a choker just like two years ago.

Fine give me Bird. And I would be just fine.

I would think Lebron could guard Bird. I think Bird is like 56 now.

                    The point is stupid.

No this quote is stupid. I said Bird in his best days couldn't guard Lebron. You start by saying you'd take Bird over Lebron and be fine with it and then act as if i'm talking about 56 yr old Larry Bird in the next line. So putting those 2 together then, you'd take 56 yr old Bird you're saying? That's sarcasm.

Lebron now vs Bird in his prime... Lebron would lock Bird down but Bird wouldn't be able to stop Lebron.

No it wasn't a reference to you, it was a reference to a few pages back where people were acting like it's nuts to say Lebron is better than Bird. And even had the Spurs won Game 6 my feelings about Lebron would be no different. He is not a better player because Leonard missed a free throw or Allen hit a 3. Only idiot sports media & haters would think that.

I'm just curious, are you saying that if the Heat didn't win the Finals, you wouldn't have LeBron in the Top 10, but because he did, he's definitely up there, cause if that's what you meant, I would think that's unfair. Rings don't define how good you are as a player cause if so, Wilt definitely wouldn't be in your Top 10.

And also, if the Spurs won Game 6, I wouldn't be talking about how LeBron choked because he didn't. Instead I would be talking about how the Spurs won the title, and giving them credit for doing what they had to do.

His performance in Game 6 was great too.

Bird was one of the smartest & best players in NBA history. LeBron is an incredible player, but to think that he would destroy Larry like that is I completely disagree with.

I'm not even gonna argue, because it's different era's and we would never know. That's why NBA comparisons suck. That's a prime example.
