Ungrateful? I loved every second for it. He was a great player for us.

But he does not get his jersey retired in Cleveland. Absolutely not.

This is equally immature and unprofessional. He's having a hard enough time getting players to actually come to his team and now he's trying to throw the best one he had under the bus. Doesn't matter if it's true or not...should of manned up when he was still in town.

Watching the Wilbon interview for the first time, LOL @ LBJ completely ducking the question about New York.

I have never seen a star with less balls in my life.

This obviously will never happen, but Lebron will go down as thee best Cav of all time. The owner would never allow it...I'm damn sure of that.

I don't think I have seen these forums so flooded lol.

The thought of his jersey getting retired is ludicrous. He accomplished 0. And please don't point out they had the best record in the NBA two years running, he has two multiple MVPs, because the bottom line is winning in June.

              Plus his departure was disgraceful.

Re: LeBron James Signs With Miami Heat

But James does not have the heart of a champion. He does not have the competitive fire of Jordan, the bull-headed determination of Kobe Bryant, the quiet self-confidence of Tim Duncan, the willful defiance of Isiah or the winning-is-everything hunger of Magic Johnson.

He is an extremely gifted player who wants the easy way out.
I just need to post this again for the truth of it all. As long as LeBron is cool with being a spoiled frontrunner, then so be it.

Gilbert said James never returned a single phone message or text since the end of the season and that the Cavs were not informed of James' decision until he went on the air.

I think most people are pissed and have Ill feelings towards Lebron because the way he did it... I will have to watch the Interview to get my real feelings on the situation.. He didn't really tell these teams that he wasn't going to sign... They had to find out like the rest of us... If he gave the bidding teams 30 minutes notice, That's totally piss poor.. Did he have a nice speech Thanking the Cavs and their fans???? IMO he totally dissed the fans of Cleveland.... Again not so much by signing with another team but by the way he left..

Now that's bull**** if he done that. Bosh supposedly pulled the same **** with the Raptors.

Going on air to say he's leaving was a big mistake. I bet the Cavs owners wouldn't react like this if he informed them beforehand.

The more of this info comes out, the more I'm happy he passed on Chicago. His talent will always be there and is unquestionable. His personality and hunger; very questionable.

Think of Michael Jordan being from Chicago and leaving the Bulls in 91 or so. I think it's kind of like that. You have this city that's been the brunt of jokes, heartbreak, etc. It had arguably the No. 1 player in the sport, and not just that but the player was a hometown talent.

                              Then he leaves.

I don't think any other story of an athlete leaving a franchise is worse than this one.

Yes, I'm a Cleveland fan, but it gives me some perspective. I'm not really mad at LeBron. I'm mad at his decision, but I'll keep his jersey that I bought in 2005. I'll keep it because I'll cherish the seven years I got to watch him -- years I said having LeBron James in Cleveland makes all the past Cleveland sports heartbreaks worthwhile.

It felt like karma to finally have a sports savior like LeBron James in town. Now it feels like "wow, there's no hope. If even the hometown guy isn't staying where's the hope?"
Cleveland's sports problems go deeper then one man. How could the Indians let C.C. and Lee go to only have the two face off in the world series for different teams. Its not like Cleveland teams have not had a chance. The Indians were good in the mid 90's but they let all the good players go. The Cavs played in a finials but didn't have the players. You can't expect one man to do it all he needs friends. Until you guys get some owners in place that will do what it takes to win a title then you will always fall short. Cleveland had all the chances in the world to keep LeBron but didn't do enough to make him want to stay. The guy don't want to be listed as a great player who never won a ring like Malone or Stockton. Even Garnett said during the Cavs series that he wished he had left the Timberwolves soon so he could have won more rings. Some teams will never win. My Hawks are the same. We will never win. Sorry cavs fans but Cleveland is not a hot place free agents want to go.
Relax, it's just a video game!
