Furthermore you've conveniently omitted the part of your argument where you imply that it was made as the sole means for comparing two players; where on the chart does it say that? If the chart is so "stupid" show me anything on it within its scope that's inaccurate; I'll wait.
I'll also wait for you to show me where I said the data contained in the image was inaccurate.

Taking it at face value is incredibly naive. That is like saying a list constructed of the top scorers of all time that only contains MJ and Kobe would just be for informational purposes. Come on son.

And I'll wait for you to go back and read what I said. The point is that because it's accurate it isn't "stupid". Furthermore who said anything about only taking it at face value? Oh... right... just you.

Literal as in doesn't overreach when it comes to assumptions and then project those that on everyone else? Yeah, I'll take that as a compliment. You were wrong and got caught with your hand in the cookie jar. There's nothing "stupid" about the chart. Glad you caught on. Carry on.

Well first off, if you change it to years in the league that automatically makes Jordan look better.

Again, assuming that the image was curated by chance, and not to be a sort of source for credulous minds like yourself to run with as evidence to place LeBron in a class that parallels Jordan as a basketball player proves to show how incredibly gullible you must be.

I'm not going to derail this thread further bantering with you. If you want to discuss articulation, my credentials as a writer, or want to take more issue with an opinion that I may have, then you can send me a PM. I've wasted enough time as it is entertaining your purposeless tiff.

Oh no I wasn't even trying to say Jordan was better or LeBron was better. I was just taking a literally stances on what I saw. Nothing more or less.

LeBron is my favorite player. But Jordan is my favorite player of All-Time.

The irony is that some people are so adamant in assuming the notion that it's intended to make Lebron look better when it can also be interpreted to show how far Lebron has to go. It implies neither. Saying it's one or the other is as dumb as looking at a gray piece of paper and arguing whether it's black or white.

Who are we judge who is better at playing the game of basketball? Thats completely irrelevant. We sit at home and watch some of the games. I dont think we can reasonably judge a players skill unless we are NBA coaches or players.

Phil Jackson, the coach of Kobe and MJ, said he doesnt know who is better. If he had choose 1 of them to start , he would flip a coin.

As for the chart. To me, i dont think Lebron starting at 18 hurts him in this comparison because Jordan wasnt good enough to come straight of high school

I should trust the opinion of fans or the greatest coach of all time? My whole point is that we dont enough to be so certain that one player from another generation is better than the other.

People who can fairly do it: pat riley, phil jackson, any 80s player/coach/gm till now

Enough of the bickering. Hotobu, if his opinion is that it's "dumb" then nothing you say will make it any less his opinion. He gave reason for the opinion that should be enough. You disagree, fine, move on.

You may be too young to know but players just didn't come out of HS back in the early 80's. Had nothing to do with who was good enough. There were more kids coming out of HS when Lebron was drafted than coming out as juniors in college in the early 80's. If Lebron were in HS in 83 he wouldn't have gone straight to the NBA either.

Glad you commented on this...I was going to until I saw you took care of it. Jordan could have been the best player in the universe and he wouldn't have gone straight to the NBA. The fact he went to college had nothing to do with his talent level...
