Michael Jordan Wingspan: 6'10"-6'11" depending on the source.
LeBron James Wingspan: 7'0.25" from DraftExpress
    Scottie Pippen Wingspan: 7'3"
It's like you only read the words that you want to. I clearly said I think it's more which is not the same as OMG IT'S MORE YOU'RE DEFINITELY WRONG. Regardless of that the fact is that it is more and it's not debatable that this is an advantage especially when coupled with him being taller.

but b4 lebron won the title this yr, and folks were pointing out certain comparisons or issues they may have had with james for whatever their reasons, why was everybody saying:

why cant we just enjoy the ride, why cant we just enjoy the moment.

but now after the fact and when lebron is champion once again, its like folks are fully loaded and ready to go to war with whomever, about whatever over lebron.

whatever happened to that lets just all sit back and enjoy the ride bs everyboy was talking around here? .
People have been saying this though, Have you been skipping pages?

Simple fact is, people just weren't buying your "OG theory" that we had to curb any praise if LeBron because he only won 1 ring.

To answer Taj's question about how this thread made it this long. In one short answer: Circle.

Because that's all this thread is, just one big *** circle.

again i have no horse in this race, im just making observations, thats all.
Well to be fair I had the same opinions before he won he second title, I could care a less if he has 1 title or 10 titles that does little for me in terms of how good LeBron is individually as a player and the rings are only going to help form his "legacy" which nobody can touch Jordan's legacy anyways...

As for post defense he most certainly is. Post defense was not one of MJ's greatest strengths if for no other reason than due to his position and who he played with he wasn't guarding guys down there on a nightly basis. Lebron pretty much plays the PF now. Regardless of any speculation on the quality of today's bigmen it does require him to play against guys in the post more than Jordan had to. Go back and look at the 1991 Finals (full games are on Youtube). Yes Magic Johnson is an all time great, but look at the difference between Pippen and Jordan guarding him Game 2 is a good example. It was noticeable mostly due to Pippen's longer arms.

As for 3pt shooting this isn't debatable either. Jordan himself said he didn't like to focus on that for his game. Whether guys of their talent should be out there shooting is a different discussion, but in light of the fact that he admittedly didn't focus on it yes Lebron is better. He's improved practically every year since coming into the league, and the 3 point shot is more of a focus in today's game.

So assuming is bad now, but not when it comes to assuming the intent of an otherwise innocuous picture that isn't necessarily biased in it's creation... got it.
Seriously, get off your high horse. Your condescending tone is the reason why people hate these debates (especially considering the nature of them can't go anywhere anyway).

Lebron is not a good post defender so saying he's better than Jordan is a stretch. And no matter what Jordan said, we know he's capable of shooting 3's. He's just generally an overall better jump shooter from form to consistency. Just bc James hits more 3's doesn't make him a better 3 point shooter. And personally, I don't think he's a better passer either. He's a MUCH more willing passer but that's not the same thing.

You may (and probably do) disagree with all of that. That's fine, but that doesn't make you right and you really shouldn't speak as if what you say is fact and any other opinion is worthless bc there are FAR too many that I'm sure disagree with you for you to do that, even if it didn't seem pompous anyway.

That's a BS cop out response right there. Don't say there are 10 things he can do better if you don't want to be questioned. And if you were exaggerating just say that instead of hiding from the response. You know it was a stretch, just say so.

I'm not exaggerating, it didn't just apply to that message, it's to the way he's responded to me and everyone else here this entire time. It's fine to have an opinion he acts like everything he says is a fact, "no this is absolutely not true" no to this no to that, it's just annoying is all.. You can't really have a discussion when the other guy just basically says everything you say is wrong and everything he says is right, so with that I just stopped..

That's fine but Pack was the first to ask you about the 10 things and didn't come at you like that... you haven't responded to him either.

Don't post that damn list OJ

At this point, you could say LeBron is better at having the last name James and it'd be a debate for the next 5 pages.

I think banning the words "best", "better" and "greater" all together would help this thread immensely

If you don't think Mike James is the best James in the league, you clearly haven't been paying attention... sad part is, if you asked him that's what he would tell you.

I dont know why people try to compare Jordan with anybody.

These arguments get about as far as T-Mac from the Spur bench. Nowhere.
