No your not the only one. Player goes from one team to another team. Goes to the finals 3 straight years (and wins back to back). And people think he'll go back to the first team. That's not going to happen.

The only reason I see the LeBron going back to Cleveland is if he wants max money to be the highest paid player. I don't think he wants to be in his prime trying work with a team to win.

For instance, Dwight got crucified in the past free agency for following through on his plan for the start because of media members messing up report after report (Although to be fair, Dwight does have a past history of questionable decisions).

As well, we have instant access to fans reactions of pretty much everything that happens. Whereas in the Jordan era you had to either listen to someone talk or read a letter to the editor, now you have instant access to their opinions. I'd be curious to see how my twitter feed would look and as well how Jordan's legacy would be perceived if it existed during Jordan's career.
It's something a lot of fans should seriously consider. Back in Jordan Era it took almost a full day to hear about Jordan news.

Especially when it came to stat talk. I remember once hearing from a friend that Jordan dropped 99 points and missed 2 free throws to break Wilt record. That was in third grade.

LeBron is a frontrunner and will almost certainly concoct another back-room superteam. I fully expect that he and Melo's "people" are already quietly reaching out the the Lakers FO, letting them know that if they clear space, he and Melo will come. Bron/Melo/Bryant/KLove and a few vet ring chasers sounds about right.

Bron aint coming back to CLE unless all of these things happen:
            -Kyrie is All-NBA
            -Either Waiters/Bennett/TT/Andy become an All-Star
-Bynum has a miraculous, full recovery
-MB turns these kids into top 5 defense
-Cavs at least make the 2nd round

            Not likely.

I just don't understand why people think he is a lock to stay in Miami?

Wade is getting very, very old very quick.

Bosh is good, but he's not a superstar anymore. His game, with more and more exposure, is shown to be quite flawed. He's weak for a big man, and it puts a lot of pressure for the PF, which usually is LeBron on this team, to be the main rebounder.

Whether he goes to Cleveland or some other spot *I don't know the cap space numbers off hand, but I'd think LA and perhaps Boston would have money*, I could easily see him moving.

Miami is a sinking ship of rapidly aging and pretty flawed players. Not sure how many more title runs they have left in them.

Sinking ship is a little strong after 2 straight titles, but I agree, I don't think it's crazy that he'd leave....and I think the only place he'd actually consider going back to is Cleveland...

I just don't think he wants to put himself through that again...I'd put it at 95% staying in Miami to 5% returning to Cleveland right now...IMO of course

I remember when Pat Riley signed all 3 of them, most people here(myself included) all said, "He's not gonna have the cap space to build a team unless he signs some low level bums" and what does Pat Riley do?

Fills out the rest of the roster with the Eddie House's and the Mike Miller's and the Shane Battier's and the Chris Andersen's of the world and runs off 3 straight trips to the Finals, including back to back Championships. Why should anyone believe he can't or won't be able to pull off the same thing again? Wouldn't be the first or second time he's done this either BTW.

I'd put it at 99% that he'll remain in Miami and 1% he'll end up somewhere else. But I just don't see how all of a sudden, he's ready to jump ship 1 year after repeating as an NBA Champion and leaving a team who's ran off 3 straight Finals appearances just for some cute coming home story.

I could see LeBron leaving or going to back to Cleveland, but I think the circumstances would have to present itself next season. Right now, the Heat are back to back champs. You really think LeBron is thinking about leaving? Unlikely. If, however, D-Wade drops off considerably next year and the Heat fail to get out of the 2nd round then yeah maybe.

I would say it's an extreme long shot right now though. With a hobbled Wade the Heat still won the title. And people forget he had his most efficient season of his career last year. Yes he sucked for a large portion of the Playoffs but he was also injured.

It all depends on how Miami shapes up next year.

All I see are teams around the NBA getting better, and Miami is getting older and cutting talent. When the core of your team is a rapidly aging Wade, a flawed Bosh, an old Ray Allen and LeBron, you aren't setting yourself up for future success.

The only reason I really doubt he can pull it off again Pack, is because the scenario is going to be a lot different this time. Last time he was able to get rid of everything but Beasley and Chalmers off that team to clear up the cap space to make those moves possible. I highly doubt the rest of the league will be as eager to help Pat reload his super squad to kick their teeth in for the next four or five years. Dwyane as noted is breaking down, I don't think he takes the gamble of opting out of that 20 and 21 million dollars he's gonna be owed. I'm not so sure Bosh walks away from his money for another pay cut. Even Jordan, with all his endorsement money had to get his rightful 30 mil a year his last two years because that's what he was worth and continuing to leave it on the table just wasn't smart.

The timing of everything played out perfectly the first time around, Pat doesn't have that luxury this time if LeBron decides to opt out. And let's be real here anyway. If you're LeBron James, what's the point of opting out of a contract to not get paid more?

At this point in his career I don't think money is his primary concern. LBJ has always been keenly aware of NBA history and player legacies. Its why he left CLE. He knows how much winning (ie titles) factor in to how he will be remembered. His goal now is to stockpile championships. If that means he misses out on a super max deal he won't lose any sleep over it.

Lebron has a player option next year, and then if he stays, another one the year after that, so I would think he takes it year by year at this point. As long as the window to win with the Heat is still open I don't see him leaving.

Man... Who knew winning back to back titles could be so depressing?

I don't know what Lebron's future will be, but if he can get Dan Gilbert on his knees in the process I fully support any decision.
