I highly doubt the rest of the league will be as eager to help Pat reload his super squad to kick their teeth in for the next four or five years. Dwyane as noted is breaking down, I don't think he takes the gamble of opting out of that 20 and 21 million dollars he's gonna be owed. I'm not so sure Bosh walks away from his money for another pay cut. Even Jordan, with all his endorsement money had to get his rightful 30 mil a year his last two years because that's what he was worth and continuing to leave it on the table just wasn't smart.

The timing of everything played out perfectly the first time around, Pat doesn't have that luxury this time if LeBron decides to opt out. And let's be real here anyway. If you're LeBron James, what's the point of opting out of a contract to not get paid more?
Sure from a Fan's perspective, there's some merit behind this.

But in the mind of Lebron, you think he's worrying about this? He's probably thinking to himself, "Man Pat Riley did it once with D-Wade, Shaq and aging vets, he did when me and Bosh got here and has helped me get 2 rings in the process so I have full confidence in him to pull it off again".

He also planned the whole 2010 coup 2 years in advance, so for all we know...I'm sure he's being thinking of similar ways in advance of this to keep his team competitive. We always talk about don't doubt the Lakers for pulling tricks out of nowhere, let's not doubt Pat Riley in this instance either lol.

Or he's thinking about retirement, since his legacy has written itself.

He's going to win the title again for a three-peat, then retire to play in the NFL.

True. There's also an outside shot that Bronny may actually cop to the cold reality that it's very unlikely the Heat as currently constructed could have beaten a healthy Bulls, Thunder or Pacers team.

You mean like we did last year?

And a worse Miami team beat a healthy Chicago in 5.

Don't forget Wade has been hurt both years now.

Experience. MIA had seasoned guys who played on the biggest stages. CHI wasn't ready in 2010, OKC wasn't ready in 2011, The Pacers weren't ready in 2012. All three folded on the big stage, much like Bron folded in 2007 vs the Spurs, and 2008 vs the C's. The intimidation factor certainly wouldn't have been a factor for CHI or OKC this year, and Im pretty sure Granger would have made a difference had he played.

Don't matter though, the victor always writes the history. Everything else is sour grapes. The Heat won, so they are the unstoppable monster, even though those dudes had a ton of things break right this year. One made Kahwi FT, and this summer is all about the 2 TO's and 2 airballs Bronny jacked up with the season on the line in the last minute or so of game 6.

Also, can't really compare Wades sore knees to Rose, DG and Westbrook being out completely, IMO.

Well too bad they don't hand out "almost won the championship" trophies, because I damn sure would've went to the parade.

We beat an undermanned Laker team, an inexperienced GS squad, and avoided the Thunder because of Westbrooks injury...and went up 5 with .28 seconds left to win a chip because of highly contested 3 by Tony Parker, a 3 he hit from a spot he's only hit from 2 time during the regular season,.,

Does this mean the Spurs had things fall into place for them too?

That's exactly why you can play the "if this would've happened" game in sports, because literally every year there are improbable moments that turn games or series...

So no, MIA is not a juggernaut, and ill go my grave thinking we were the better overall team...but there are no excuses ....they won, they beat us.

Not gonna be silly and say the same result wouldn't have happened, but for the record Carlos Boozer was right about one thing, the Bulls haven't been healthy together yet in the playoffs since they put that team together.

I wish ESPN and all the meida would cut the he is going to the "Lakers, Nets, Cavs, Bulls" crap. Unless Pat Riley or Wade dies *knock on wood* I honestly don't see LeBron going anywhere. Pat Riley is smart and ahead of the game imo with what he wants to do with this roster to stay competetive for years to come. Not to mention the Heat are the heavy favorites to win it all again next year. Why would he want to pass that up after winning 3 titles and I for sure don't doubt Pat Riley. LeBron will continue his success and will keep his talents in Miami.

Lebron was suffering with a severe case of shrunken nuts in game 4 of The Finals.

It's not tough I just don't believe it's realistic but hey anything can happen. I personally think they will all reconstructure their contracts for even less money than what they have now.
