It's something I thought about while reading through this thread. But I think that's the way we look at LeBron. That's why the Jordan comparison come all the time. Even though he's not. He is that player of this century. It's sad. KD is doing great things right now.

      Hahaha

But LeBron movement this season can change everything in the NBA. Team will do everything in their power to have him for one season. 8 straight Championship. That's pretty nice.

Edit: Did KD have anyone else after him? I feel like it was Warriors or come back to OKC.

I know everyone is still has the rockets as one of the top choices I still don't see why the Cavs would take back Ryan Anderson contract in a sign and trade when they cant offer them any assets outside of Gordon and a some late 1st. The Cavs would still be over the luxury tax right ?

If he goes to the lakers and brings Paul George with him then you have Lebron, George, Ingram and Kuzma that would all play the same position. I know modern day NBA and all that still that's a lot of Forwards with no big man unless you count Randal.

I wonder what assets the lakers would give up to dump Deng's contract ?

Randle would most certainly be gone if the Lakers land both George and LeBron. Probably even for them to land one of them but I’m not totally sure on their cap situation.

But Russ "deserves" his own thread. Welcome to the Twilight Zone.

IMO neither deserves their own thread, for the record. LOL.

LeBron on the other "hand" does.

It makes it so all the other threads aren't taken over by LeBron talk all the time...just hop on over to the finals thread.

                No

At the time it was made 8 years ago there were a million lebron only fans and haters starting threads every other hour prior to the decision

You had to be there. Trust me it wasn't cool lol

The Lakers actually have set themselves up to have the best cap situation of the off-season. One max player can be signed straight out with room for another 18m or so player even with Randle's cap hold. George and LeBron could both be signed if Randle was renounced. Randle could be retained though if future picks could be used to get someone to take Deng's contract.

                          Re: The LeBron James Thread

I’ve always wanted him to go to the Spurs, I’ve always wanted to see him play for a coach like Pop at least one time in his career. And even though he’s on his downslope at this point, I do think he would fit great next to Kawhi.

Kawhi can be the guy defensively. He’s comfortable in any situation where he would be off the ball from Bron, he’s the best catch and shoot guy out of all these players he’s rumored to team with.. I don’t know if the team as a whole would have the pieces to make a run at it all, but Pop always seems to be able to find the guys to plug in and make it work so who knows.

Also.. as much as I don’t want to see him go to the Lakers, if the off chance that they actually had the pieces to compete for a ring it would be cool to see a Celtics/Lakers again, especially one where it’s LeBron vs Kyrie. The NBA would make so much damn money off that lol.

Nah I’ve enjoyed not seeing many bandwagon Laker Fans and would like for that to continue.

Those Kobe/Shaq years took a toll on me arguing with those fans.

Aside from GS, that would be the last place I’d want him to go. I do wonder how all the “Laker fans” I know tune would change on Bron if he was in a Lakers jersey.

Not hating on any of you OS guys who are actual Laker or Kobe fans, just people I know personally. I think we all know how many awful Laker/Kobe fans, who are extremely casual basketball fans, there are out there.
