Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
LOL and people are complaining about people hating on the Knicks? At least actual legitimate reasons are given whenever someone speaks out against the Knicks and why they won't get Bron or Bosh. This guy's only reasoning is because Michael Jordan played for the Bulls.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Lol. Honestly dude, I'm kind of pulling for Cleveland in a small little part of me. If the Bulls can't get him, I want to see him stay in Cleveland. It'd kind of be a cool story to see the hometown kid stay and eventually win one for the Cavs. At the same time, I want the Bulls to get back to building their franchise. I know everyone likes to harp on the Jordan era of the franchise, but every franchise starts somewhere. The Lakers had to start somewhere, the Celtics had to start somewhere. Just because the Bulls have only had one true superstar in the franchise's history doesn't mean the franchise has to be forever trapped with that.
It'd be just another knife into Cleveland, after thinking "Hey, we now have that Jordan-type guy instead of having Jordan do it to us," then to have Chicago get our guy!? There's just something wrong about that. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

I'd say it takes more skill to be able to pull off trades for hall of fame players, or to put yourself in the position to sign free agents by clearing cap space and having good young players, than it does to suck and get lucky enough to win the lottery.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
In a very roundabout way, I think the Celtics did use the draft to build a contender. They sucked for a few years, built up assets through the draft, then used those drafted assets to land Ray/Garnett.
So not building through the draft shouldn't be a knock for the Celtics at least.Comment

Where's the big "attraction" else where? NY? Hasn't won in almost 40 years. Miami? The two biggest attractions that come close to dominance are the Celtics and Lakers and neither have cap for LBJ.
What's your point anyway? Big city with a solid foundation. That's the attraction. I don't think LBJ will be influenced that the Bulls weren't winning in the 60's and 70's.Comment

Bulls fan overrate their core? If you mean NBA scouts, GMs, executives and the media than I agree. Noah is on the way to playing at a all star level and Rose one day might be a superstar.
Don't know if you noticed but the Bulls have the money as well and a roster to complement.
Whatever man, keep on hating with invalid arguments.Comment

Prestigious as in how? We live in a world that's what have you done for me lately world and the Knicks have won't won anything in the last 20 years. 2 Final appearances and that's it. Saying they're "WAY" more prestigious is a little over the top no? They've been a complete failure in the last 10. Not a shot against Knicks fans but it is what it is.

How was the Knicks before Ewing? Garbage. And how were they after Ewing? Garbage. Did they ever win anything while Ewing was there? Nope.
And as far as the Knicks being an great franchise? Sorry, but your New York arrogance has gotten to you. We're not talking about the Yankees. TheKnicks have only won twice in their history, with 1973(the year I was born) as their last championship.
So please, come stronger than that.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

And people wonder why we are so hard on the Knicks. It's because of statements like this.
