Yep and it's never been done before, I'm sure. I will venture into uncharted waters here.

Yeah man it's gonna be weird rooting for the Lakers, not gonna lie. Still hasn't sunk in yet.

I can definitely see the Lakers reach the finals tbh. I think it is pretty obvious Boogie will join the Lakers as well and then they pretty much have a good chance beating both the Rockets and Warriors.

LeBron + a healthy Boogie ain't comin' close to beating the Warriors, especially not with him coming off an achilles. LeBron better hope they get Kawhi....

Team as it is isn't bad but it's going to be another group of guys that frustrate the hell out of LeBron... Young and prone to mistakes.

Is Boogie still an option? I didn't think Lakers had that much Cap space.

They were probably already #1, but with Lebron, the Lakers all time team is the best all time team in sports. That gap between them and #2(Yankees?) just got wider.

No, once they signed KCP that was it for Cousins unless he signed for the room exception, which he wasn't going to do, and which ultimately when to Lance.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

                      Re: The LeBron James Thread

As a Pacers fan, Im glad to see Lebron go West but as a basketball fan, I wish he would have stayed with the Cavs to finish out his career. I thought it was a class act what Dan Gilbert said about Lebron. Lebron while he did say when he came back, he wasnt planning on leaving and would finish his career as a Cav, but he did keep the promise of bringing a Championship to Cleveland, so fans may be disappointed that he left again, but shouldnt be mad at him and burn his jersey as last time. Im sure he will get a standing ovation when he comes back to play against them, which is the way it should be.

Im sure his kids, and wife played a major role in him going to LA, and the fact that he has a production company out there, so that was probably the deciding factor, because as is right now that Lakers team isnt beating the Warriors and probably not the Rockets either. Now if they add Kawhi or Boogie, they will have a fightin chance against Warriors, IMO. However I dont see the Spurs trading Kawhi too the Lakers, unless the Lakers were willing to give up Kuzma or Ingram which I doubt the Lakers would do, considering in a yr they can sign Kawhi. Because unlike PG13, I think Kawhi is dead set on going to the Lakers, and nothing will change his mind at this point. Plus if Im the Spurs, I would rather send him somewhere he dont want to go, or even force him to stay there, and if he becomes a locker room problem, you suspend him and send him home. Out of every player in the league, Kawhi would have been the last player I would have thought would become a whinny little you know what So if it were me, I would make his last season, as miserable as possible. It is shocking what has happened with the Spurs and Kawhi, as they are a class act organization, and Kawhi seemed to be a good kid, so its baffling what has happened there.

Going to be interesting to see how it all plays out in LA. Cant really say this time, that Lebron is chasing rings, because going to the Lakers, and going to the WC with how tough it is night in and night out, isnt making things easier to win championships. Now it may end up that depending on what the Lakers are able to put around Lebron, and the young players improving. Will be entertaining to see what the lunatic loud mouth Lavar Ball has to say. With Lonzo being a true pass first pg, and Lebron being ball dominant, it might take a while for Lonzo to figure out how to play more off ball, and since he isnt all that great of a shooter, it may not work out to well for Lonzo, unless his shot improves. Although he is a smart kid, so I think he will likley figure it out in time, if his dad keeps his trap shut, because Magic might not be as patient with Lavar now, as he was last season, with him ripping teammates and Luke Walton at times.

Ngl, this sounds like a certain 2011 situation.

If the Lakers get beat 4-2 by Milwaukee, I’m going to laugh my way to hell.

Let's see...Le Bron asks for high IQ guys then receives Lance, McGee and KCP. High IQ indeed. LOL.

Man, honestly as a Lakers fan I feel spoiled. It's insane how quick this team's turnaround is for having a top tier talent. Even though our playoff drought has been what, five years? It's still shorter than what a lot of other franchises have suffered through.

I couldn't be happier about LeBron joining the squad, makes me want to watch every single game next season and just cherish them.

                            Welcome to LA.
