Better, for sure -- definitely an accomplishment, assuming he gets to the Finals and assuming he's the best player in it at that point. LeBron has a lot of mileage on him and I feel that he's going to become the Kareem of this next Lakers team; the wise, thoroughbred workhorse that you can count on in the clutch and in the biggest moments, but not the guy who can carry you through a minimum of 98 games (regular season+minimum of 4 games per round, so 82+16). He did that this past year and I honestly believe he's tired of it, who wouldn't be?

I think LBJ wants to ease into the final phase of his career with a younger star carrying the bulk of the load; so if LeBron makes it back to the Finals, I suspect his other superstar, inhabiting the young Magic Johnson role, will get serious consideration for Finals MVP too.
    Any comments are welcome.

I'd buy that. I'm unsure how high Kuzma's ceiling is, but I think Lonzo has a good chance to be in that Jason Kidd-mold if he continues to develop as he has so far. I feel like LBJ isn't going to tell LA to trade him -- Ingram is the odd-man out and likely him, plus Hart +picks will be the trade for Leonard; I don't see the Spurs sitting on him all season long till the deadline and I don't see them trading him to East for peanuts (as no one will give away anything of real value for a discontented Leonard to play on their team for a smattering of months).

San Antonio has to bite the bullet and trade him to LA, but getting back Ingram and Hart (don't sleep on Hart), plus some picks, will be better than nothing.

I could see why trading Ingram makes sense even though I don't want to but gotta keep Kuz and Hart. Two players that would be perfect with LBJ. I prefer Hart to KCP. I think he's a starter in the NBA.

I’m probably the only person in America who would rather have Brandon Ingram than Kawhi Leonard. And after the recent week of all types of reports contradicting one another a day after each other, I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say the only people clamoring about Lawhi Leonard to the Lakers are fans and “expert analysts”, whom I’m glad both aren’t the GM of the Lakers.

Seriously tho, why would you rather have Ingram?

Another one of those NBA finals facts:

If LeBron/Lakers make the finals this year, then this would be the 13th straight season that a LeBron team and/or Lakers team has been in the NBA finals (LeBron in 07 and the run since 2011, and Lakers made it in 08/09/10)

Going back to 2000, only 3 finals haven't featured LeBron or the Lakers.

Lakers weren’t in the Finals in ‘03 brah. Remember, Spurs won that year, then Lakers built the super team to get back and got busted by the Pistons in ‘04

                            Another "LeBron Finals Fact".

The last non LeBron team from the east to make the finals were the 09/10 Celtics. The only active player remaining from that team, Rondo, is now LeBrons teammate in LA.

I forgot Luke Walton was on those Lakers teams who made the finals in those 3 "gap years" between LeBrons appearances. Everything connects.

I don't know if it's been shared in here but LeBron and Luke were in the same draft class. #FUNFACT
