No he didn't.-your telling me he didnt just show those kids its all about me myself , and I? You obviously werent watching the same video. All Lebron talked about was me myself, and I. What I have to do. Honestly, people really like to do whats best for them in life these days. Thats the last thing I teach my kids. To each there own.

That time existed because players were forced into staying on their teams due to the lack of free agency. -bunch of crap, I still watch the 80's browns on sunday after browns games, they have stayed supportive of cleveland for years. There still in cleveland and love it. Bernie Kosar and tons of others still stay here and support cleveland to this day. Ive seen the same thing on many old time greats over the years. Jordan, and a few others have even said how the games changed, and its not about what it once was, and money and fame has changed the game.

Michael Jordan is one of the most egotistical and money-driven person there is. Of course there are some players still loyal but the time that you're talking about was artificially created. Players weren't loyal because they wanted to be, they had to stay on one team for however long the team wanted them around.

If he wanted all the money and spotlight then he would've stayed in Cleveland.-really, we have the clubs and parties that miami has to live it large and spend some dough? I dont remember to many stars, celebs, and spenders living it large in Cleveland/Akron.

He would've had more money if he stayed in Cleveland and he is the only sports figure in Ohio worth talking about.

Cleveland's economy isn't his responsibility.-Then whose is it if its not the people who have lived and work here, and have major influence? You mean it will fix itself? Amazing....he doesnt even need to consider all the buisiness and people lives hes affected? What a easy world we live in.

No, he should not have to worry about what is going to happen with Cleveland's economy. He is a basketball player, not an elected official.

It's hilarious how quick people turn. Lebron is by far one of the top 2 players in the league yet now people want to act like he's a scrub who can't play.
-In the rocky IV movie: -Ivan drago was the ultimate weapon, yet took the easy road with using steriods(bosh and wade). People like champions who fight through adversity(like he would have in cleveland as a underdog). If we wanted to choose the easy way in life we would vote for drago and the steriods he used to win. Honestly isnt the whole point of sports as a individual is to rise to the top through adversity? Or winning one for the team and community that has supported you.

Comparing someone taking steroids to someone joining a team with better players is ridiculous. He fought through adversity when he carried a team that featured Eric Snow and Ira Newble, to the Finals. He played there for 7 years and went to a better team, it's not that big of a deal.

Better team is questionable at best. Bosh is not a superstar who else is on that Heat team? Oh yeah, nobody.

I feel sorry for Lebron. It doesn't look like he'll be mentioned in the same sense as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird are and how Kobe will be for the Lakers.

I really think LBJ should've joined the Kinicks if he wanted to leave Cleveland because then it could have been HIS franchise, and his team.

I almost can't believe that he just made this decision this morning.

Parity has nothing to do with the Saints drafting in the middle of the pack every year except for 2006 but being able to develop players and win games. It's harder to repeat in the NFL due to the one loss and you're out playoff system but if you look at the list of teams who have won the Superbowl, it is same few teams year in and year out.

The way those teams were assembled is completely different than three all-stars colluding their way together. I don't have a problem with "super teams" or players leaving their former employers, but don't mock me and insult my intelligence with a year-long charade. These guys wanted to play together all along.
How are they mocking you? They don't care about you, they want to play with who they want to play with. You're taking it personally when it really has nothing to do with you.

Sorry to say but to all of these Cleveland fans burning lebron jersey's.....that's triflin!!! LBJ got that pathetic excuse of a team to the finals pretty much all by himself and the city gets upset because Gilbert doesn't know how to surround THE STAR PLAYER with TALENT!!!!! They are directing anger towards the wrong person. IMO Lebron doesn't owe the city anything especially after reacting like this. If they were true fans then they would support him wherever he goes. Cavalier fans wore LEBRON jerseys and LEBRON t-shirts and made fan sign with LEBRON's name on them. They were supporting one player not the whole team so why stop now?

He should've said something about it then, not wait until after Lebron left the team. It's going to be funny watching players bypass Cleveland because the owner has to whine when he doesn't get his way.

I don't think this is about betrayal, cowardliness, etc. I think Cleveland and Gilbert are way out of line and over the top. But I am completely shocked that he chose Miami. He put the nail in the coffin of any "GOAT" talk for the rest of his career - it's over with. He will never, ever be in GOAT discussions. As others have said, this is a move that you make when you're 32, not 25. There is a reason why so many players and former players are surprised and/or don't approve of the move. He's panicking and giving up at the age of 25. He even said, he's going to "Wade's team". He's the best player in the NBA and at age 25 he's accepting being Robin. SMH.

I always believe that actions speak louder than words and this answers anything I'll ever need to know about LeBron's killer instinct. Not his will to win, but his BAMF meter is about a 2 out of 10. I'm sure others have mentioned it but I can't picture any any super star in the past doing this. LeBron wants to play with his friends and try to win. I guess he can be commended for taking less money to try to win, but to me the bottom line is that he's a ***** and he's still mentally soft. You simply come off as being a bitch with this move.

I don't buy the winning thing, Chicago has a way more complete team than Miami does and unless these three guys are taking substantial paycuts there is no way Miami's roster will look better than Chicago's would have if he went there.

I don't think this is bad for the NBA at all. This is going to be the most insane drama this league has ever seen IMO. People are going to love it or hate it. As I said a few days ago, LBJ/Heat haters are going to make Kobe haters look like Mother Theresa. When he goes back to Cleveland and when he goes to NY, those ratings will probably be as high as any regular season NBA game since the Jordan days.
                          Great post.

The burning of the Lbron jersey makes me sick to my stomach. He has done so much for that city...I'm glad that Lebron will be winning championships in Miami...Classless act by classless fans. I will not put every Cav fan into the same category, because I'm sure some of you Cav fans actually have a brain.

I do believe that this has been a huge plan of lies and deceit for the past 2 years. I am a Bulls fan and I believe he should have stuck it out where he was for at least another 3 years. I feel that Mr. Stern is not going to be too happy about what these guys have done under the direction of Pat Riley. Because of these guys behavior the league will definetly be going into a lock out cause the owners will not be played again. They just made a pact with the devil and nothing good will come from it.
