Re: LeBron James Signs With Miami Heat

Man... a lot of people feel they could easily pass up a chance to win multiple rings. As a previous person mentioned, look at Malone and Stockton or Barkley... Hall of Famers with no ring.

If a team puts a lot of stock in a player that they have not snagged for a long term deal, wouldn't that team be at fault to take on that much risk? Its like loans from a bank, if a person files bankruptcy the bank takes a loss same as in this situation. All they had to do was get him long term.

I cannot judge a man who just wants to win a ring or two. 30ppg and no ring <<<<<<<<< 21ppg and 3, heck, even 1 ring.

TBH this team isnt as stacked as the Portland Trailblazers of the late 90s. I can see these guys meshing well together.

Maybe Lebron wants to fill his hand with rings more than build a team in hopes of a ring. Isn't this what Boston did and then added during the draft to create a solid team?
I doubted you Roy Williams since you only won with a someone else's team... Now you have proven me wrong.

    You have earned my respect.

No, I am not seeing it.
I didn't address the last part of your post because I don't follow the Heat and have no idea who is still on their roster. I'm pretty sure if people want to win and see that Wade and Lebron have signed for less money than they could have gotten otherwise, they will want to sign with the Heat.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

My good friend used to play HS basketball with Lebron. He said he was good back then(before he went pro) but was one of the biggest jerks you would ever meet. Looks like he was right.

Any thoughts on a new nickname for Lebron. I don't think you can be King James in Wade County can you.

GREENWICH, Conn., July 8, 1990 -- Michael Jordan announced on national television leaving Chicago to join the Detroit Pistons. Jordan said it was tough to bolt Chicago, where he was the most popular athlete in many years, because he thinks he has a better chance to win a championship if he plays with Pistons star Isiah Thomas. Jordan said by playing together, he and Thomas "won't have the pressure of going out and scoring 30 every night."

              LMAO. This is funny.

Legit question I have: Would the anger in Cleveland be substantially less if it had just leaked out through Broussard yesterday that LBJ, Wade, and Bosh had signed with Miami and there was no TV special?

This explains every Cav's fan mindset. Maybe he made the show to publicly do it to not put the Cav fans in the dark...Letting everyone know why he did it...Instead of just signing with another team under the bus.

Either way the Cavs are done...I can understand the frustration on losing the 2nd best player in the league.

Your point was that I don't know who else is on their roster? I never argued anything about the Heat's record so I'm not sure how that could be your point.

As if LeBron had nothing to do with them extending Z or bringing in Shaq and Jamison...please, the man runs that organization. If you seriously think any of these moves were made without LeBron's approval, you're high. If there was a move proposed to LeBron that he didn't like, you seriously think Gilbert or Ferry won't heed his word? It's the freakin' Cavaliers. LeBron had as much doing in that team's inability to assemble a champion as anybody in that front office.
Bingo! The Suns and Cavs had a verbal agreement before the trade deadline that would have sent Amare to the Cavs for Ilgauskas and Hickson... and word on the street (at least from the Suns camp) was Lebron nixed that deal due to some "concerns" he had about Stoudamire. Amare would have given that team a chance to get to the Finals... bringing in Jamison was a joke.
