Remember Lebron allowed Nike to put up a billboard in Cleveland saying "We are all witnesses."

I guess we are witnesses LBJ folding under the pressure. Maybe something "mentally" happened to Lebron in the Celtics series.

The disconnect between athletes and fans is growing wider by each passing season. I'm thankful for Tim Duncan, Paul Pierce, Dirk Nowtizki, Peyton Manning and others that show "loyalty" can exist in sports even today.

I understand how you guys feel even if it's on a much smaller scale. Duncan could've bolted on the Spurs and D. Rob, but stayed and they won three more titles after taking lumps against L.A. in '01 & '02. Willis McGhee trashed the city of Buffalo on his way out the door a few seasons ago, I've hated him ever since. Even cheered and applauded when he got injured during the post-season a couple years ago.
You are talking 2years for Duncan. If I'm not mistaken Pierce was thinking about leaving before they got Ray and Kevin. Manning has maybe the best GM in all of sports. Now Dirk is the only one really sticking with a team that doesnt look like they'll compete for a title. And look at the amount of critcism he takes for it.

Going to Miami, it isn’t going to be LeBron’s team. It is Wade’s team because he’s been there and has won a championship there. So the obvious poin...

Big difference here Pierce was 29-30 at the time with the window for winning a championship closing big time. I'm sure Celtic fans would have understood as long as he wouldn't have wound up on the Lakers. Pretty sure he would have did it in a classy way also.

Totally agree. I know back in the days you would have never seen Magic join Bird, or Jordan join Isaiah. They all were determined to be their own ,and wanted to beat the best to be called a Champion.

You need to go to you tube and watch every Jordan game and highlight you can find. Which you will. Then come back here about 3 hrs later from watching all that, and take your words back.

You must be either a teenager or in your young 20's to make that comment, because anyone who was fortunate enough to watch Jordan his whole career would have never made that Comment.

Their is Jordan and No one else. No one is close. How Jordan played the game of basketball is like no other. watching Jordan play was magical, and no player today delivers that.

Why are we acting like Stoudamire is not a big helping piece here? He get's slammed for joining Wade and Bosh but he wouldn't get slammed if he joined up with a top 3 power forward in New York? Makes no sense, just sounds like sour grapes.

I'm taking Bosh/Wade to help me over Stoudamire in the end. Dwayne Wade is not a better player then Lebron IMO, so Lebron won't be playing second fiddle to anyone.
Number 1 Wade is a better player than James, and your argument loses points there. Wade already had enough with Bosh, but I guess they Feel they needed Lebron also to dethrone Kobe, Celtics, and Magic.

Now that to me says a lot about Kobe. That a team not only needs a Superstar in Wade, and a all-star like Bosh, but must add another superstar like James to try and beat Kobe, and the other strong teams in the east ,but I strongly feel that Miami will struggle very hard, and will not make the Chip this season.

Remaining roster will be weak. It's a 82 game season. You will need those players to play most of the minutes because they have no depth. Hopefully no injuries (Wade). By the time the playoffs come they will be burnt out.

And maybe Byron Scott was that coach. They already had the best record in the East with the roster they had. They eventually would have gotten that other player.

Well in time we will see this either be the biggest failure ever, or a huge Success.

The end parts of that article is another great example of how the Cavs were willing to do everything (even potentially anger other players) to appease LeBron. Even Mike respected Phil enough not to cancel practices on his own and change flight times to suit his agenda. This kind of thing makes me despise the whole situation and LeBron even more.

That's exactly what happened to the Pistons in 2005-06 when they went 64-18, they had NO bench and were burnt out by the time the Eastern Conference Finals came along.

I grew up in Chicago during the Jordan Era. As basketball players - the differences between Jordan and Kobe aren't that great.

I don't see why people can't admit Kobe is Legendary Good. Who in the 1990's would of shut Kobe Down? Nobody except maybe Jordan.

Saying Kobe is great doesn't mean Michael Wasnt.

I think Jordan is superior...he just had more fire and played a more dominant defense than Kobe. Plus, I think he faced stiffer competition. That said, I can certainly agree that Kobe is "legendary good." I think Kobe does just fine being him without the comparisons to Jordan. I don't disagree that it's at least fair to make the comparison though.

Also (on another subject) I don't think comparing Jordan joining Isiah or Bird joining Magic is an apt comparison to what LBJ is doing. Those guys were rivals (going back to college in some cases). there were no rivalries involved here.

It really is just a different time now. There are few real rivalries between players anymore. Pierce going to the Lakers would be crazy, or Bryant to the Celtics. If anything, this might be good for the game...there will damn sure be a rivalry between these teams now...lol.
