By the way...Jordan is untouchable...The guy thats going to be consider better than Jordan will have to win League MVP 8, Finals MVP 8, defensive player of the year at least once and Win 8 championships. lol

I love LeBron to death. Been following him around before the media jumped on. But he is not better than Jordan.

Just heard the Big 3 will be playing the SuperFriends on opening day on Oct 26. The hype machine begins. I see Boston winning that game. Unless the Heat are for real.

A proven championship team entering their what 4th year together vs a almost completely new MIA team in their first real game? Yea........... don't see MIA winning at all. Either way it goes its not gonna be something to judge them on but I'm sure most people will be calling them a failure lol.

          Not really.

The biggest thing that prevents LeBron from Jordan status is the internet. If Jordan was around during the late 90's and 2000's and in his prime, he would not be as huge as he is.

As for his letter to Akron, he's either ignorant or LRMR is totally amateurish. Either way, it's wayyyyyyyyyy too late for a thank you letter after what he did.

Thats gotta be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Seriously, you don't tell someone thank you just for them to say your welcome. You do it to express gratitude and if Akron doesn't accept it thats on them.....

It's common knowledge that every person who's ever said thank you was sincere. People are inherently good and can do no wrong, especially a guy like LeBron who loved his hometown enough to leave them with an hour long hype-fest that was obviously only for the benefit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Yep people can make no mistakes nope none at all. When they say thank you its obviously just a rouse to get you off your guard because Akron has so much for lebron to gain from. Nope nobody loves there true home-town but they love the city that they work in .Amidoinitrite?

Like I said...If the Heat are for real. They could easily beat the Celtics. But I expect Boston to win in Boston.

I never said he was better than Jordan. There is more to sports than just raw talent , but IMO he is better at the areas that I mentioned. What I did say was he isnt out of discussion of being better than Jordan. He already has two MVP awards has lead a team that IMO is way worse than any of Jordan title teams to the best regular season record back-to-back with a Finals apperance. Just the fact that LeBron did it without a Pippen type speaks volumes.
First point, you got some links? I'm pretty sure people compare his "game" to Magic bc he's a 6'8" man that can handle the rock and orchestrate the offense... the likes of which we've never seen besides Magic. If they break down the aspects of their physical skills, I'd say Lebron kills Magic in most, but not passing. Honestly, all this discussion tells me is that James is an overrated passer. He's a good passer but he's no Steve Nash, no John Stockton, no Magic Johnson.

Not going to comment on the second part bc I really don't want to get in that discussion.

I'm not even gonna go the sarcasm route, I just have a question. If you were in LBJ's shoes...huge megastar, and you make a controversial decision...have your public image take a hit because of the way you go about announcing your decision on July 8th, and you wait until after all of this, almost a month later, and then you release a thank you letter to Akron?

You have to admit that the timing seems fishy, especially with the hit his public image has taken....unless you wait nearly a month to show gratitude to people. Then maybe you don't see how the timeline is leaning towards "repairing public image" as opposed to "this is heartfelt and sincere."

I'm not saying he doesn't love Akron, but that doesn't mean he won't use that love for his hometown to his advantage. We see things like that all the time.

Not sure if he's speaking from the heart or not but it is interesting that this came out right after Big Z did a thank you letter to Cleveland and right before he's supposed to have some kind of event that's been scheduled in Akron for some time.
