Re: The LeBron James Saga
Actually, no. They were restricted free agents, which means that their teams had the right to match any offer given to them. They couldn't have left unless their teams weren't interested in keeping them. Though I do agree that the theory of this being planned all that time ago is extreme. I'm not %100 ready to rule it out, though.A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Didn't Bosh let the cat out of the bag about them planning this back around or after the Olympics and once people found out he tried to deny quickly saying he was just joking or whatever?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
It's pretty amazingly stupid to already be talking about Free Agency that doesn't occur 6 years from now. Just makes you sound insincere to your fans. Nice to know they were a stop on your way to a bigger payday, or even easier situation to win.
What's the point of competition if all the "star" players just want the easiest road to a championship/legacy, instead of building their own championship/legacy team? It's like all the douche bags in baseball who sign with the Yankees to try and get the easy road to a ring. Now we have all the future FA's calling each other and trying to get on the same team. That's kind of like a union.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
I think it's pretty extreme. But don't get me wrong some of the factors point signs. I don't believe it unless there is an official report. If ESPN doesn't talk about it. People with blogs and columns shouldn't be in this conversation. I mean its pretty hard to say 3 years from now. When my contract for my phone ends with T-mobile. I will be signing up for Verzion. It might have been talked about, looked at, and texted about. I never said "Hell yea I'm going to Verzion 3 years from now". And I'm only talking about a phone contract. These guys are talking about their lively hoods here guys. Thats why I find it extreme to even mention those stories. I could see if they said some thing like if this and this happen we could be together. And then Wade went back to Pat Reily and made those things happen.
But in the end it happen. Unless some real facts (or taped telephone calls lol) show up. I really can't be mad about what happen.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The LeBron James Saga
So you're saying if BSPN doesn't talk about it, then it's not true? Not sure if I follow what you're saying?
EDIT: Bosh basically let it slip out at the Rally they had that they thiswas planned or at least wasn't a decision that they all had just made aftr July 1. But it's done and over with and not worth talking about that since there is hundreds of pages in this thread already discussing it.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 11-01-2010, 09:46 AM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
^^lol yea your right^^
Sorry about the espn thing. But you know what I mean. I need reliable sources. I don't need a guy on a blog say he said she said. Its also really easy to say this after it happen. One guy even talks about like he said year before it happen.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The LeBron James Saga
Guys that do the blogs are basically the same as sources, technically speaking. All this stuff works thru "backdoor channels" in all Sports so either way, they're always gonna start out as he said, she said stuff. Hell, that's how this Melo stuff got started really.#RespectTheCultureComment

You expect players who pride themselves on being winners to stay in a position that isnt conducive to winning? What player do you know who has done this? You looking at the Chair MAN!

Bosh really hurt they're case the most for trying to say this wasn't all planned because from day one he treated the whole process like a complete joke. It was obvious from the start that Bosh was just trying to get himself some fame during the process.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
That's too an entirely different extreme though jeebs. That nonsense came from a website that has nothing to do with sports or anything if I recall correctly. Not every "journalist" with a blog or a "source" that says something is true is true. However guys that have contacts in the industry and relationships with people that can give them that kind of information shouldn't just be discounted because they don't work for ESPN or there's a bunch of other hacks who have no integrity. Besides, there were reports that showed us just how close those guys got during the Olympics, hell we saw it with our own eyes during the Redeem Team specials on ESPN/NBA Tv.
