I think the Cavs might actually beat the Heat. I doubt it though. Hopefully things don't get too out of hand.

Fans should just not show up to the game. Everyone is so hyped about all the hate and "venom" haha, that LeBron will face in Cleveland. Fans that have tickets should get refunds and give their money to the Boys and Girls Club and not show up. That would be hysterically funny to me and, it would crush The King's royal ego, or at least it would put a noble dent in it. The logistics of pulling something off like that would be monumental though. Oh well.
That would be awesome except for the financial impact that would have on the Cavs organization

Don't think that Cavs won't beat the Heat. Fans aren't the only ones that hate Lebron and the Heat. The Cavs fans will be pushing all their energy through the players and the Cavs team will have something to prove. Lebron, well, he's proved enough through 17 games already.

I wonder if anyone on the Cavs bench will shake hands with LeBron before/after the game. IIRC he didn't tell anyone he was leaving right? They all found out the same time we did.

I think they will. I don't think they(Players)have that big of a grudge with him like the fans do and that they've probably moved on from it by now.

As for the fans, if they were to do something that's not "right"(ie Shirts about his Moms, disrespectful chants) or whatever, me personally wouldn't be mad at them at all for doing it. Now, if it comes to where someone is putting their hands on them or whatever ala Malice at the Palice, then that's one thing.

The players understand the business aspects of the game. Only speculation on my part, but I think much of Lebron 'keeping his teammates in the dark' really stems from the fact that there's no way his leaving wouldn't have leaked prior to the actual announcement, if he hadn't kept his cards close to the chest.

Personally, I still don't think the guy was 'wrong' for leaving Cleveland, as much as he went about it the wrong way. He had to have known that as a homegrown product and the only player to have ever made the Cavs a household name during his 7 years, 'the decision' show was just cold and over the top. It's amazing that this guy has gone from the darling of the league to it's most hated player. It's amazing that he's getting booed out of the stadium at every road game. I can't help but think that had he shown a bit of humility about all this, the reaction would have been different( though I believe there's no way Cleveland fans would forgive him under any circumstances).

NBA players are fans too. They are men. They respect integrity, humbleness, and guys that can man up and act like a man. Deceit like what Wade, Lebron, and Bosh did is low. To put on the act they did, like it wasn't planned, that's not something just fans see.

And don't think the Cavs players don't want to make a statement of who they are without him. If I'm a Cavs player I'd want to show LeEgo that our group without 3 megastars can get it done.

I really hate when people quote themselves but.....

Lebron is a top tier talent but his work ethic has always been suspect. He hasn't expanded his game much over the last 4-5 years and his lack of growth is being exposed on Miami. Miami needs him to do more than be able to be spectacular on the break or on an top of the key isolation. He needs to post up, set good screens, work on a jumper (not a set shot), box out and rebound at a higher rate. He needs to make better decisions with the basketball. This all could be seen when he was in Cleveland that this would be a problem, and unsurprisingly, it will be the "coach's fault" again.

At some point, there will have to be some performance accountability for King James.

Not really. It would be a neutral site game. I don't think "Heat Fans" will make the trek from South Beach, considering they don't come to the games in Miami.

It would never happen, in a perfect world though it would be hysterical.

Don't dispute that, only that at the end of the day the players will move on. It's a business. Fans will bash James till the end of his career for what's he's done, unless he somehow makes people forget by winning 3-4 titles. Which, right now, isn't off to such a hot start. But the Cavs players motivation where James is concerned, is more to show that they are competitive without him. I'm not exactly sure if they feel 'betrayed' like Cleveland natives do, though. James was a homegrown product, after-all.

Frankly, I see nothing wrong with the 3 of them deciding to team up. It's how they went about it, like it hasn't been in the works for awhile, that's the biggest issue. I have no doubt that James knew he was gone when he was half-assing it against Boston in the playoffs last year.

I was just saying this same thing to a guy at work who loves riding on Lebron. He doesn't seem to be expanding his game. I mean, he can't post up for real. I've never seen him be consistent in rebounding or boxing out at a respectable level. He seems more interested in getting those triple-doubles. Has he ever had a rebounding game when he could get a cool 15? Some of the things I've seen him do have really made me question his intelligence to the game. I've realized that he's not in love with improving his game like say Kobe was or Mike. He just hones what he has.

I really wonder how much better he would have been if Silas would have stayed his coach and taught him proper techniques in most of what he does. Definitely respect your post Prez. Holding it down for those Chicago stat men.

What I really want to know is how you guys grade him on an intellectual scale in regards to his understanding of the game? He seemed a whole lot more intelligent when he was in Cleveland as opposed to now. It made me realize that the age limit to college players does need to continue to stay where it's at so players could learn something in college. Amare` even stating that he wasn't taught defense was a damning thing in itself. Lot of things coming to light these past few weeks.......
