Quitting to me is not doing what you've done all season and using some phony injury as an excuse. Bron was THE facilitator for that offense, and when they needed him the most he shrunk. The fact that people even bring up Kobe to excuse Bron's quitting as ok is not enough. Quitting is quitting no matter who does it, and yes Bron quit and then cut tail and left Cleveland.

LeBron James isn't sure it's a smart idea to enter this coming February's dunk contest at All-Star Weekend.

James admitted Friday that he often considers committing to the event, but he goes back-and-forth.

He said at some points he tells himself, "Yeah, I'm going to do it," but then he thinks about the wear and tear on his body.

This year's dunk contest is Feb. 19 in Los Angeles.

Lebron is really just scared to do the dunk contest, cause he also mention the possibility of facing Blake Griffin who already would have the home court advantage.

So he pretty much only wants to do it if he's guranteed a win, cool story Lebron

By Lebron ducking it year after year and continuing to talk about it, he's gotten himself in a situation where if he did enter, he'd have to dunk from half court for it not to be a let down.

LeBaby doesn't wanna get embarrassed. That's really why he's afraid to commit.

Why does Bron even need to be in the dunk contest? What the hell does he gain by doing it? Is it even cool to be in the dunk contest anymore? He should leave it to the young guys.

I think most people understand and agree with that honestly at this point in his career. He doesn't NEED the contest, he gains nothing from it. That said, just friggin say that!! Alot of people in every facet of life would have a lot less issues if they'd just shut they're traps spewing obvious BS to people instead of just being honest or not even saying anything at all. If Bron just came out and said something....like he thinks there are a lot of young guys out there who could benefit from the contest more and deserve that platform to showcase themselves, most people would be fine with that explanation and move on about it. Instead of going that route he does this kind of stuff and it's either because he's a stupid moron or he's an attention whoring douchebag who wants to keep people talking about him.

As to quitting thing, I don't know why that's being argued again. LeBron pretty much quit man, no question. He leads that team and if your leader is quitting, why in the hell would anyone else not follow his lead? I know people want to say bad games and all this other stuff but it's quite simple. Bron did not look to attack. Since when is LeBron James allergic to the paint? Yeah he put up points but he didn't have any interest in taking care of the ball, he didn't look to drive and draw fouls when his jumper just clearly was not working. Then there's the phantom elbow. Funny how it didn't stop him curb stomping the Bulls in the first round when he supposedly hurt it, then it's suddenly a hinderence in the Boston series? Dude set that excuse up early to fall back on because he knew what was up. Now, does that mean he sabotaged the Cavs intentionally from the get go? I don't think so, I think LeBron went into that with the mindset that he's just gonna play the games and if they win, cool (even though he could do without it as it'd make his decision to go to Miami make even less sense since he'd be walking out on the challenge of trying to repeat) but if there is any resistence whatsoever then **** it he's got his elbow excuse to fall back on when he stops giving a **** out there.

IMO I don't think he quit but instead allowed for his confidence to falter, he did set the elbow up as a fallback but I don't think he flat out quit. I think you can attribute it to the Celtics just simply getting into his head throughout the series enough so that he questioned his own abilities. Lebron is a highly confident individual and the success of his offensive abilities(largely his shooting) is based on confidence since he doesn't have that textbook type of stroke. I just think he set up an escape route with the elbow, allowed the Celtics to talk him out of his game, double and triple teamed him into submission and the rest was history, everything snowballed on a national stage.

                              Purposely sabotaged? nah.

As soon as the Celtics started to go ahead, LeBron lost it mentally in Cleveland. I think he was tired of the situation and had enough and quit.

                              Simple as that.

Sounds pretty much the way I feel too. He just caved in crunch time. There was parts of the game in game 4 where he did the same thing, then game 5 it was pretty much the whole game, and then game 6, besides rebounding, there was a lot of moments where you just questioned if you were watching the same LeBron you've seen the past few years.
