    Re: The LeBron James Thread

So first Pau plays soft and without aggression because his fiance dumped him and now LBJ plays the same way because Rashard boned his girl?

    Interesting.

imo, the gm5 tripple double was the most unimpressive triple double in NBA Finals history... 15pts, 10reb, 10ast, but somehow he still didn't seem like he "impacted" the game like a tripple double should have.

When Wade went out, LeBron should have "taken over" but he didn't. he continued to defer to guys like Chalmers, and Haslem...

I just don't get this guy. He has all the talent in the world, but, its like he doesn't "want" it...

They could possibly still win the series in 7, but, the way LeBron and Dallas is playing, I think its unlikely.

I agree. Very unimpressive triple double from my perspective. Of course, inevitable, "this guy gets a triple double and still gets 'hated' on", but did you hear about the guy who asked Lebron change for a dollar?

Couldn't give it to him because he was missing a 4th quarter.

Yeah I saw LeBron passing the ball as soon as he got it. I would expect him to at least move, or hold the ball for a few seconds.

Yeah I was saying that in the 4th quarter when he disappeared again. One of the most meaningless and unimpressive triple doubles that I've ever seen. Only two points, no assists in the last 5 minutes of the game when it mattered and had no real lasting effect on the outcome of the game.

Aside from a few times trying to get to the rim, once again it felt like he wasn't even on the court.

              Re: The LeBron James Thread

Being a Clevelander and a die hard Cleveland fan, we've had some rough times over the years... The back to back years when the Cavs had the #1 record in the league, only to fall short of the championship were tough to take... When that happened all we kept hearing was that "LeBron's supporting cast, wasn't good enough"

Now, LeBron is in Miami, and teamed up with 2 of the Top 20 players in the game. Its looking like Dallas is gonna close the Heat out soon... LeBron has been virtually invisible for most of the series, not even averaging 20ppg and not doing anything at all in the 4th quarter of these tight games...

So, this question has to be asked... In Cleveland, was it really "the supporting casts" fault that we did not win? Or, was it more on LeBron for not playing like "LeBron" when the chips were down???

Judging by what I'm seeing in these NBA Finals, I would say allot of the Cleveland playoff failures have to fall on LeBron's shoulders just as much as his "supporting cast's" shoulders... LeBron has shown in these Finals, that, even with 2 of the best players in the league along side him, he still can't get it done...

Let's wait for the Mavs to actually close this out before we talk about this. I'm rooting for the Mavs, but I still expect the Heat to win Game 6 and 7.

I don't think Lebron had the support he needed in Cleveland, personally. No matter how you cut up the guys he played with, I don't think those rosters were very good (which is why I think Mike Brown deserves some credit. He had Lebron playing hard and he turned water into wine with those support players). He played consistently greater with the Cavs, perhaps because he didn't have guys he could defer to so it forced him to play aggressive to even have a chance (sans Lemeltdown 1.0). I think he'd be having a more "dominant" finals run if he was with a cast like he had with Cleveland, even. But something has him passive, and I don't think it's Rashard Lewis practicing his shot stick timing with his lady friend that is causing it.

Dallas defense deserves some credit, as usual, but a player of Lebron's abilities should be able to find a way still in my opinion.

                    Re: The LeBron James Thread

What has Miami shown you that would make you think they are gonna win 2 straight vs the Mavs???

The Heat have not "closed" at all in this series... When the game is on the line they go back to their one on one offense and that just wont work consistently enough to win, even with LeBron and Wade...

Bron is showing he doesn't have the "stones" to come up big when his team needs him the most... Where was he when Wade was hurt? Why didn't he take over then?

How many "Game 4's" does this guy need to have before people finally realize he's just not "that guy" that everyone thinks and whats him to be...

He is a #2, not the #1 that everyone has made him out to be... In Cleveland he always blamed everyone else for their failures... Blamed the coaching, the supporting cast and so on... When in fact, it was HIS GAME that changed when the going got tough... He didn't play like the guy the won back to back MVP awards and he's doing that again in Miami in this series... He only has like 9 points in 5, 4th quarters in this series? Really, LEBRON JAMES, only has 9 points in 5, 4th quarters??? I think that reporter was 100% correct when he said LeBron is "shrinking" in the moment...

Personally, I like to call it CHOKING!!!

In GM4, it was like he didn't want any part of the action... Call it deferring or what ever you want, but, to me it seemed like he wasn't even on the floor...

Yeah thats what I'm saying... LeBron has the ability to get to the rim pretty much at will... But he's playing like he doesn't WANT to... He'd rather pass to DWade and let him do all the heavy lifting... I just don't get it... He is the most athletically gifted player in the game today, maybe ever, and to see him NOT WANT IT, is really sad...

This guy has changed SOOO MUCH since he first came into the league with the Cavs... He used to be a humble, happy go lucky kinda guy... Now, he is just arrogant and thinks he's king ****...
