Re: The LeBron James Thread
That doesn't bother me nearly as much as the fact that Kobe is one of the greatest players in history bothers you.
Especially since the draft lottery gave us two top 5 picks.
Keep trying though. You must be so butt hurt over your favorite player losing in the finals after seeing Kobe win two in a row must hurt a lot. So much so that you are going after Cavaliers fans.

Lol Kashanova, what made you so mad at the world that you have to come on a message board and attack Cleveland fans?

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I never thought that LeBron HAD to stay in Cleveland and disappointed he didn't want to stay. He handled it in a way that embarrassed me as a fan and Clevelander. Your *** **** right I'm going to root for him to fail, and fail miserably for the rest of his career.
That's your problem that you don't understand how I feel. So instead of telling me how I feel, maybe you should actually listen/read what I say instead of assuming stuff.Too Old To Game Club

Re: The LeBron James Thread
i think that the Cleveland fans that despise LeBron have more reasons than just his betrayal... just as the world may view a player as unbelievebly great but he plays for your hometown team & get to watch him every night & scrutinize him a little better.
for me personally it was Tracy McGrady while in Houston... everybody said how great he was & i was a fan at first but after i got to watch him night in & night out i saw things that i HATED.
i liken LeBron to McGrady because of how he quits in games by standing around, taking himself out of games by making it a 4 on 5 game on the offensive end & basically taking the pressure off of the defense by taking jumpers when he could get PIP anytime he wants.
i'm sure this is what Cleveland fans saw & actaully noted more than the casual Lebron fan over the 2 years prior to him leaving Cleveland... i know i saw it. the media spoke on it after game 6 of the Boston series last year but left alone what he did late in games 4 & 7... this has BEEN his MO ever since that Pistons series that he took over & a fan that gets to see it for 82 games a year sees it a lot more clearly than the "national broadcast fan" that catches highlights on ESPN. (you never get to see how a game truly played out while watching edited highlights... just like reality TV)
Lebron is the greatest player to EVER step on a court as long as he can defer to someone who wants the pressure & is performing well at the same time... when things look low Lebron looks for a place to hideLast edited by ronyell; 06-13-2011, 07:59 PM.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I personally think when u hate a Player that much you might just miss out on some of the best talent in the league. I try to never mix the personal life of an athlete with his skills as an athlete. If you compare Lebron's off the court activity to other athletes, he looks like a choir boy. Did I want lebron to stay in Cleveland , he'll yeah!!!. But how or why he did it is really insignificant to him as a basketball player. The other thing is lebron being a choke artist. I don't think that's accurate because I believe that if he was going to choke, we would have seen signs of that during the Boston/ Chicago series. Those traits would have surfaced then. Don't get me wrong, lebron did not play great . But it was really only 2 quarters of the finals( both fourth quarters) that he did not live up to " his " standards. As far as deshawn Stevenson calling lebron classless. My advice would be this to him. In 2-3 years no one will even remember you were on the Mavericks .Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I think winning a chip kinda quiets the haters. If you cant respect a mans game after he wins it all, then there must be some underlying hatred for a player that goes beyond basketball.
I'm sure if the Heat were the world champs today then alot of that hate would of turned into respect.
Dont get me wrong, there would still be some Lebron hate but alot of props would be due as well.
And I agree with wwharton. If LeBron could just give good answers and not act like a jackass all the time I wouldn't hate him, but alas the dude is so stubborn or just flatout doesn't possess any self-awareness.
Like Ben Roethlisberger, Kobe still has people that don't respect him as a human being because let's be honest, if what they supposedly did is true (and it sounds like it is), it's very ****ty. But at the same time, they admit that they are flawed human beings and just chill out after that and people eventually let it go as time passes. However, with LeBron, the dude just constantly brings the Decision back up, constantly says the wrong things, and is always acting like DeShawn Stevenson on the court pretty much. Nobody will forget what a douche he is when he continues to portray himself in that light as if he takes pride in it.
Edit: And let me add that I respect LeBron's basketball talent. However, his antics on the court, coupled with the way he just gives up off and on irks me. But it's really only the antics and what I mentioned above as my reasons for hating him.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 06-13-2011, 07:55 PM.NFL: Bills

Re: The LeBron James Thread
LOL at LeBron rotting in Cleveland. Chris Bosh was rotting in Toronto. Kevin Garnett was rotting in Minnesota. LeBron was NOT rotting in Cleveland. Making the playoffs every year, having the best record in the league two years straight and being legit title contenders is not rotting. That roster could have used a few tweaks obviously, but winning a title in Cleveland was not going to be this impossible task that a lot of people like to make it seem like it would've been.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Until Lebron can stop always thinking about Lebron then just maybe he'll win. I'm confident that will never happen. He will wear out his welcome with Wade and NEVER win a title if he keeps going the same way. He's way to satisfied with reffering to himself as king james and being on sportscenter. Players and fans know lebron is fake and a coward. Oh ya Lebron tell me how my dirk tastesGt White Mamba 24x

hating Lebron is a character-microcosm-generational thing for me personally... this generation highly regards what looks good but not what gets the job done... i used to be that way when until i understood that what matters in lfe is not how great someone is in any aspect of life but the most important thing is how they respond when it matters most... Lebron has had an AWFUL showing of how he handles "when it matters most" in MANY areas, not just on the court & not just the past 3 fourth quartersComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
You serious greatest player ever? Prove it cause I don't see what your seeing. He's a great player and leave it at that. I have never seen a player of his caliber travel, palm the ball, and flop as much as lebron. His jump shot is not very good he gets most of his points on dunks and at the line. His confidence is easily rattled. Straight up he's a jerk and he's far to stubborn to look at himself in the mirror and make personal changes.
Until Lebron can stop always thinking about Lebron then just maybe he'll win. I'm confident that will never happen. Players and fans know lebron is fake and a coward. Oh ya Lebron tell me how my dirk tastesi echo EVERYTHING you said... i was refering to his talent level & potential but champions win with TALENT & HEART FYI... i have made a wager with a family member that LeBron will NEVER win a ring for the very same reasons that you stated... my point was that he only plys well in the scenario that i stated... ALSO Lebron hit my microscope after i heard him mic'd up on the sideline about 4/5 years back when he consistently referred to himself as "King James" & kept saying "coach... if u wanna win... put the King back in the game" ughhhhhhhhh!!Last edited by ronyell; 06-13-2011, 08:12 PM.Comment

The other side of the coin though is people acting as if one championship in Cleveland would've been enough to satisfy their Lebron thirst. Obviously Lebron felt that wouldn't be enough for his "legacy" and I agree with him from that standpoint, when it comes to Lebron nothing is good enough.
