    Re: The LeBron James Thread

IMO LeBron signs a 4-5 year (non-max) deal with the Heat with an out in year 2 or 3. He'll use that out to then sign his max deal -- which I'm going to guess will be a lot more than he could get signing a max deal right now -- and possibly switch teams as well. Of course that depends on where the Heat stand. If it's a situation like this year where they're needing to retool then I think he'll bounce and Pat Riley will retire.

I'm pretty sure Pat Riley will die a heat gm lol. Jk

But I said it before. Until LeBron makes a move free agency is at a stand still lol. I just wonder how it will work out. Lowery put his plans on hold lol.

It's apparent that LeBron isn't going back to Cleveland, so I'm just wondering:

You guys think Cavs fans will boo him mercilessly this season knowing he's done with them for good, or is it completely water under the bridge?

Would be how it is now, some still boo, some still cheer. Whats been talked about though is if he doesn't come back now, don't try to come back towards the end of your career, especially if we are contending.

Honestly I doubt that it changes much. I think most people are over it by now. Plus, we have a pretty good young team right now so it doesn't suck as much lol

Man what are you talking about jeebs? Free agency is moving right along. I'm actually shocked at all the deals we've seen so far. Usually nothing happens until those big fish are out of the way.

It was more of a joke. I just thought it was pretty funny to see Lowry taking a few days to go through his options.

Edit: He just signed back with the Raptors

I think Lowry staying in Canada screwed up LeBron's plan big time.

You misread the "if" part, he wasn't implying right now but a down the road type scenario.

At least that's how I understood it.

So if LeBron goes back to Cleveland does Pat Riley take back calling him better than Jordan, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, etc? lol

Serious question. Why hasn't a big deal been made about Pat Riley calling LeBron a coward? Maybe not quite flat out calling him a coward, but if he leaves Miami, Riley said that's being a coward. Everybody is still calling Dan Gilbert an ******* and all this **** about he shouldn't go back to Cleveland or "won't" go back because of Gilbert, but nobody is saying a word about that little speech Riley gave after the season.
