Re: The LeBron James Thread
I just thought by now some people would of moved on. And just enjoy what's going on right now. I just don't see the point in these very long back and forth post. Losing Kobe (and a ton of other players) this season really opened my eyes how much I'm going to miss seeing these guys.
edit: If you check out some of the best ft shooters. They all shoot the ball with the ball in front of them. Just check out Durant FT for example.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

There is another group of young stars coming up, and good ones too... so yeah its more to see, it never stops but as it is, especially with the comparisons, they don't even give you space to appreciate players for what they are anymore at the time they are there.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
That's false.
In fact, Michael Redd didn't sign with the Cavs because LeBron did not meet him at the airport.
It's widely known that LeBron did not do any sort of recruiting for the Cavs. Even when he reached out to Trevor Ariza during the 09-10 offseason, he wouldn't go all in and recruit.
Chris Bosh also said he would have come to Cleveland if LeBron told him to.
it is quite possible that those stories are not true. but those were the types of rumors floating around. all this time, i had always been under the belief that the only reason he left cleveland in the end, was because he couldnt get other players to come there with him.
so if what you are saying is true, then my follow up question would be:
-- are you saying that my belief that he actually wanted to stay in cleveland is false? because in this case, i was actually giving him the benefit of the doubt in regards to him doing everything within his power to stay in cleveland up until the point where he left.Through Holy Union God Lives Inside For Everyone

They guy is amazing. We all just need to enjoy what we are seeing. I'm not a Kobe fan by any means but I have enjoyed his career and watching him be dominant. I refuse to limit my enjoyment of the sport by carrying on resentment for players that I don't know personally. 4 time MVP's that have just entered their prime don't come around much. Sit back and enjoy. The Sports Preacher

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Spoiler
being as this thread has 1200 pages, i can understand that alot has been discussed here maybe several times over.
but what i dont really get is why somebody has to always come in and say, we shouldnt talk about certain thinigs because theyve been discussed b4. because not everybody here currently was apart of thoese discussions. some folks are actually having the discussions for the 1st time.
so if this is your um-teen time, instead of saying how the convo shouldnt be had. why not sit the convo out or just watch if from the sidelines if you so desire. or just respond to the convo about lebron that at the present time your interested in having.
also i dont really think its fair to say go back through the thread and read the previous convos, because for 1, since you were never apart of that convo, what if you read smething you would like to respond to, are you supposed to respond to 2-3yr old post?
this is a very very broad thread about lebron, with enough space for everybody to get their fill. so i just dont understand why ppl cant just stick to the convos about lebron that they themselves are currently interested in having about lebron.
this last part wasnt directed directly at jeebs, it was more to everyone who feels like the lebron convo goes in and never ending circle. maybe it does. but at the same time, so does life, and for some of us its our 1st go round here.Last edited by TajDeni; 05-12-2013, 09:05 AM.Through Holy Union God Lives Inside For Everyone

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I think he really did want to win a title in Cleveland, and I think before his career is done, he will probably wear the Wine and Gold again, but it's pretty apparent that his decision was made well before he hit Free Agency.Too Old To Game Club

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I believe that his move was set up well before he left. 2008, during the Olympics is when it started, then at some point during the 2009 season he met with Pat Riley.

Why does LeBron not dunk over guys much anymore off penetration? He gets way high enough, he almost always brings the ball down to try one of those scoop shot looking lay-ups.. Drives me nuts.Comment

Probably worries about getting hurt, or trying to make the shot more likely to go in."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I still have that photo download on my computer at home!!!! lol Can't believe pulled that one out. He is the most amazing thing about that. LeBron never got a triple double until his second year in the NBA. Is that that a little shocking?
edit: His numbers look just like his NBA numbers hahaLast edited by jeebs9; 05-14-2013, 03:14 PM.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
