He failed at bringing you to a ring, but you also failed yourself. Talk about "they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there"? Am I missing something or hasn't James dragged a pretty average team to the finals one year?

Disloyalty for leaving? It's his right as directed by the CBA. LBJ was an *** about the way it was done, but it's his right to choose where he wants to play.

It is a bitter, but I don't blame him for it. They did the best they could with what they had and fell short, anger is expected. The Cavs lost their best player, Ohio lost one of their sons. They should be mad, but directing all that anger at LBJ alone is misguided.
If every pro athelete thought like you, then all the non bright light big city teams teams might as well just throw in the towel. I mean, just quit and go to a good team. Who needs to fight through adversity anyway? Get the easy rings man. Lifes about shortcuts and taking the easy way. If it feels good, do it brother!

Why dont we just get to the point where we hand the trophy off to the same 3-4 teams every year, and then rank everyone else from top to bottom?

I cant believe some of you think Cleveland doesnt try to get good talent...they dont want to come here. Its not new York, Miami, LA man. Its about rolling around in the big cities man, spending all that dough. You cant do that here in filthy Cleveland.

      Re: Dan Gilbert.

I have a feeling that David Stern is going to have one of those discussions with Mr. Gilbert in the coming days that were generally reserved for Mark Cuban.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Gilbert is a sore loser. It's surprising because he is from cleveland he should be used to losing by now . lol

Miami is a good team? Sure they have the top two and Bosh but that's it. They have to fill it out with crap anyway. That team still needs serious help despite LBJ joining. I do feel that their ceiling will be much higher than the Cavs as presently constructed. Don't pretend athletes don't routinely join good teams to win rings. It happened when the Patriots were at the top, when the Lakers were at the top, when other teams were at the top.

LBJ took KG's warning from the playoffs. I assume he didn't want to wait until he's old to change teams to win a ring.

LBJ did fight for 7 years with that team. Gilbert enabled his behavior and let him run that team for years. It's his fault as well, he shouldn't go blameless.

Well if they did try and no one wants to go there then you still can't blame Lebron for leaving. If no one wants to live in a "filthy" city and Lebron wants to win a championship at some point in his career then you can't blame him for going somewhere where he has a chance.

Cleveland is a losing city when it comes to sports. Luckily Lebron realized it before he was too old like Garnett. If KG had gone to Boston years earlier he would have a couple more rings by now.

Yeah, all the greats should just go to the same teams, then they can get there rings quicker, and have more of them.

I Know Im sorry, but the Cavs fans are making Lebron out to be Judas or Hitler or someone like that. The guy just took a better oppurtunity somewhere else people do it everyday. Its a business the owner should be the one who understands that the most.

When did the heat last win a championship? Ours was ......never.

Like I said the big name teams.-heat, lakers, boston, new york teams, orlando, chicago, etc...If you arent one of those teams, best of luck to you. Your in the land of the forgotten when it comes to nba teams.

I realize you're upset, and maybe feeling hopeless. Hating on a guy because he wants to win and is doing something about it just seems wrong though. Cleveland already didn't have enough on their roster to win the East, and even without Lebron on Miami they are a legit team with Wade and Bosh, Boston returns all of their players, then both Orlando and Chicago got better.

The reality of the situation is that to win a championship you need at least 2, and it doesn't appear that was ever going to happen in Cleveland. I just can't blame a guy for wanting to win and move to a major city like Miami at the same time. It sucks for small market cities, but that is life. If you have the choice of living in New York City or Helena, Montana what are you going to choose.
