Personally, I'm...very meh about this. Doesn't effect my team one way or the other. Just calling it as I see it, and I see this as a move that excites the fans now, and frustrates later as they don't have a lot of maneuverability and no trade-able draft picks.

New York is running the treadmill of mediocrity right now. Gonna take some really clever and smart moves to get to a title level. Which has basically a 0% chance of happening if Isiah is running things again.
Well if Isiah is running things again it wouldn't matter who the Knicks had. The franchise would be headed to another mess.

It was going to take smart moves to make the roster as of Sunday a championship team as well.

Also the team was 28-26. They are already mediocre.

I'm not happy about this man. I guess I'm the only Knick fan that feels like we got jerked and have inmates running the asylum.

I wanted Melo soo bad but this doesn't feel right.

      Wade/Bosh/Lebron -43 mil
      Amare/Melo- 40 mil

I hate Isiah, why isn't he ****ing bothering the Pistons man?!. Go Knicks.

Except they would have had a ton of cap room in the 2012 FA, and could have potentially still have gotten Melo in 2011 as well. Instead, they sell the farm for Melo and are now in a tight spot with the cap as well, seeing as how it's quite likely Melo will get a max deal.

Really, NY can hope to pull off another trade to land a star (using Billups) but I agree it's unlikely.

The Knicks were not guaranteed to land him in free agency, Melo wanted the extension first then he wanted to play for Knicks.

But I will admit that those men did rock the 13....minus Warner on the Giants lol

They aren't any better than they were this morning.

Felton, Chandler, Galinarri, Mosgov = Melo

I'm not a big fan of Chauncey in that system either. He is a half court point guard and his strength is reading those defensive sets. He's older and slowing down a bit, I don't think a running system fits him that well.

Melo and Amare are two guys I don't think would play well together either. But if Wade and LeBron can co-exist, then they can figure it out.

With a giant asterisk next to his name, but thats a story for another day. A-Rod has not rocked the 13 well in my opinion. Hes a hell of a player, but not a positive light on his story.

But who cares its just a number. Moving on....

No doubt its a lateral move for this season but it puts them in a better position for the future.

Well, if as some here are saying that Chandler/Felton/Gallinari were as good as gone anyway, then it doesn't put them in any greater position.
