      Old Billups/Douglas/Carter?
      Fields/Brewer/Azibuke
      Melo/Shawne Williams/Balman
      Stat/Turiaf/Balkman
      Williams/Turiaf

      I'm excited regardless.

        LOL, great post bro.

In all seriousness, they improved by leaps and bounds offensively quite obviously, unless on the small chance they don't fit together well and flame out, there's always that. I don't really like the Knicks all that much as a Heat fan, but I think they are going to make for some pretty good competition now come playoff time. This year they won't be able to stop us at all, but if and when they get Paul, Williams, or Howard, they just might be able to stop us then. I'm not going to be unrealistic about it though, while they are going to be a great team, it's unlikely they ever make it past the Heat, but at least with this trade and a possible signing of another superstar, they will be in the conversation.

Also, I'm happy that they got to keep Landry Fields, he does all of the little things and would've been a shame to see him shipped off as his value can't be measured like a superstar player's can.

Finally, definitely starting a Knicks association once the trade deadline comes and goes, as it should be a lot fun with both Carmelo and Amar'e in MSG.

No doubt but both arent the answer at Center for this team.

            I wouldnt be mad at:

            Billups/Fields/Brewer/Melo/Stat

            for some "Small" Ball

It's a great day to be a Knicks Fan. We just got arguably the most dominate offensive player in the game, in his prime.

Teamed with arguably the best PF in the game in his prime...

              Wooooooooo Hoooooooo....

Some thoughts on this, and the NBA landscape going into the future:

The Celtics are really good, right now, but after this year, and 1-2 more years, they wont be relevant anymore because of the age of their superstars.

The Heats Big three are 28 and under
The new Knicks BIG TWO are 28 and 27 i believe
then you have the Bulls with Rose who is in his early 20s with Noah, and i believe Boozer is still in his 20's

With all that said, those THREE teams are going to be the Eastern Conference powerhouses for the next 5 years! and its going to be one hell of a ride!!!!!!

Im not discouting Orlando or even Atlanta, but unless Dwight and Joe/Josh/Al can get a superstar addition, they wont be able to compete with MIA/NYK/CHI in a couple years.

I've been pretty down and bummed since I woke up and saw how the trade went down (including Moz).

But I'm starting to get excited because of this:

At the end of the day...players are gonna want to come to NY...regardless of what anyone wants to think or believe.

I'm not talking a new CBA or max deals or anything like that.

Players are gonna be lining up to possibly want to win a chip IN NY?

If you hate the Knicks, hate Dolan, hate (UGH!) Isaiah, hate Melo, hate STAT, whatever.

Answer the question- who would not want to come to NY to possibly win a chip?

I'm starting to like this deal.

LoL at the hate in this thread.

You would think us Knick fans are in here guaranteeing multiple titles. We are just happy we are making the playoffs. None of us are expecting to win anything right now.

Some of you guys are coming off really bitter.

Yea thats the selling point of all this: the potential to add capable players.

The Knicks may not be able to sign a Paul or Williams. But if depth is what they need, there are a number of role players out there that would like to play for a contender.

The Knicks now have a coach players love playing for, a future Hall of Famer and an All-Star forward with intensity and drive to talk to anyone and their mother about joining his squad.

Is it the perfect marriage? Maybe not. Can they be better on defense? Most definitely will need to improve. Do they need depth? Sure.

But who provides that? Role players. There are role players out there and now the Knicks will be among the few teams that can pick the role player they need.

How about you tell me who you forsee the Knicks getting for they're PG. I saw that list when I posted. The friggin centerpiece of this Knicks team wouldn't even sacrifice money to win a championship in NY but suddenly everyone in the league will be lining up to go to New York and the Zeke show sequel for pennies for a chip? Almost the entire roster is going to have to be flipped/resigned in 2012 and with two dudes taking up 40 million dollars, the Knicks are going to have to ball on a budget and for me I just don't have the confidence that the managment of the team can pull off the moves they need to make to make this work. Isiah is the type of goof who'll end up resigning Eddy Curry to another ******* contract. If it works, good for them, I just have my doubts.
