Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
I think the only reason Philly hasn't engaged Denver is because they have no confidence they could get Melo to sign an extension. There is more than enough on Philly's roster to package a deal w/ Denver...esp based on what other teams have offered.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

OSU did you really say Gallo>Iggy?
I have never been a fan of Iggy, but that is a silly thought.
Gallo's only superior to AI in one faucet.Comment

Nets are backing off pursuit of a deal for Carmelo Anthony, league source says. “At least for now,” source tells Y!
Yes! I want to keep Favors and Harris after thinking this through once more. We need interior defense, and Favors could provide that in the many years to come.
If we do go after Melo again, we better not offer Favors.Comment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
Honestly, I'd rather just move on from it and not even bother with this mess again. He had his little Mini-Lebron Fun(although run poorly BTW)and I'm not trying to deal with that mess again. He and the rest of those CAA Clowns can take that **** somewhere else.#RespectTheCultureComment

But obviously, that won't happen.
The Nets will win a championship after all these guys start their decline!Comment

But, but...you're supposed to be willing to do anything to your team to get a player like Carmelo. No matter what.Comment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
I knew this wouldn't go through, at the moment the nets are not an attractive free agent spot and when I heard melo had to sign the contracy extension for this to go through I knew it wouldn't happen. Maybe when the nets move to Brooklyn it'll be a more attractive spot for Free Agents and other players who can decide where they want to go.Comment

Honestly I think he is looking to make a "super team" as wellComment

Re: The Carmelo Anthony Saga
At the same time they play in newark in one of the nicer stadiums in the league & is no longer in the middle of the swamp. Why not take the deal so you can get max money and develop chemistry and then eventually go to brooklyn. This way he can still basically be a new yorker, lala will, the team will become established, and he can get the money he is looking for.
