He's saying the Nets are trying to avoid becoming the Clippers of the East. If the Knicks get Carmelo, nobody will pay any attention to the Nets and they'll lose money. If they get Melo, even though they still won't be as good as the Knicks, they'll at least have people that want to tune in to see their team play.

You say the Knicks have all these pieces, but you're forgetting that SOME of those pieces would have to be moved since it's obvious Denver is not going to Carmelo "Lebron" them, do you disagree?

Again, no ONE is saying that IF the Nets get him that they will be on the same level as the Knicks because they won't but what it does is that it makes them more relevant than what they currently are and it gives them SOME credability(which is more than what they have right now)going in TO Brooklyn, which again is what this move is ALL about.

And not to knock the Knicks, but reports already said Denver isn't interested in the Knicks' pieces.

All I know is that the Nets fanbase has never been great.

Even during the Finals, NJ has failed to come out and support their team (still empty seats).

I'm hoping it gets better in Brooklyn

lol why are you even arguing with me then? I said this move doesn't happen because of Carmelo's interest and you're bringing the focus back on the Nets organization. We started this discussion about what CARMELO would do, not the NETS.

I've said as much with what the Nets are trying to do. But I asked time and time again would you accept the deal if you were Carmelo and you kept avoiding the answer. "Theoretically" lol.

The Knicks don't have to do a damn thing, actually. Melo lands in NY for free agency and Melo takes less money. He'd be a fool to go to NJ.

If Melo came to the Knicks he would probably play the PF. With Amare at the Center postion. D'Tony won't go to a big line up. Hasn't been his style.

Because the Knicks would give up Gallo, Chandler and/or Fields for sure. You might even see Walker in the starting line-up.

Total BS. He's doing everything in his power to not send Melo to NY. It has nothing to do with pieces as pointed out by WoJo via Yahoo Sports:

lol Denver wants nothing to do with NY... and that's because NY knows that's where Melo wants to go.

They have leverage and because of that, I'd bet anything Denver won't open talks with them.

I'm sure Walsh has been less than generous as well in his offerings...

I actually said no, sir and I said that because I'm taking everything into consideration as far as what WE know and what has NOT been denied/ruled out. But you for some reason think it's that easy when if it was, this wouldn't even be talked about(this whole Melo to Nets nonsense)
