League considering contraction of lesser profitable teams

Not sure if any else saw this story http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/1...-huge-pay-cuts

But it look like this the 1st signs of lockout next season. "hope not"

But if they get ride of bad team , Who do you think besides the clippers should go.

    The kings maybe?

But i think if they really want to save $$$ cut there ties with the WNBA.

They should just abolish the WNBA. Leave the NBA as is.

I doubt this will ever happen but I would love to see it.

And I see that an "Eddy Curry Rule" is in the works. :

This has to be posturing by the NBA against the Players Union. The Owners maybe think that if they make the big unreasonable demands that the union'll give in to smaller ones at some point. If they're serious about all this crap someone might as well start up another pro league because this lockout could never end.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

I am looking forward to a lockout. The players will break within a few months because they'll be going broke (those entourages are expensive). I also hope the league puts in a hard cap. It will be really hard for the Heat to compete for titles with 3 max contract players and 12 minimum contract players.

Move the Thunder from OKC. Put em in San Diego, or put em back in Seattle. Oklahoma is just too small of a market.

why there making tons of $$$ there, every game has been sold out since they got there. The city loves the team. Went to a game there last season , when i was there on bussiness. It was like being at a UNC Vs duke game. Very much the college crowd feel.

It's close enough to the max that if there's a hard cap, they're going to have a hard time paying other guys much more than the minimum.

Did you see the excitement in that place for the playoffs? I don't know this for sure, but I would be willing to bet that place sold out more often than some of the bigger market teams during the regular season.

San Diego isn't getting a team until they get an arena that wasn't built before every current NBA player was born.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Well, basically, you keep the charter franchises, which are:
                              - Lakers
                              - Celtics
                              - Pistons
                              - Knicks
                              - Sixers
                              - Warriors
                              Keep the ABA franchises:
                              - Nets
                              - Pacers
                              - Nuggets
                              - Spurs
Then with the remaining, keep the franchises that's above league average value:
                              - Bulls
                              - Cavs
                              - Rockets
                              - Mavs
                              - Suns
                              - Raptors(?)
                              - Heat

So that leaves you to choose six out of these teams:
                              - Bucks
                              - Magic
                              - Hawks
                              - Bobcats
                              - Wizards
                              - Jazz
                              - Blazers
                              - Thunder
                              - T-Wolves
                              - Clippers <-----MY FIRST CHOICE
                              - Kings
                              - Grizzlies
                              - Hornets
I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm X
