Definitely 2000's is what I was referring to.

Anyway Clippers can be contracted, I don't care. I definitely want them the hell out of my city.

Yes, get the Clippers the hell outta here and somebody shoot sterling while ur at it. and lets leave the Kings alone. The Maloof's are great owners and have tried to get a new arena there for 11 years. There trying and have a decent team with young talent now.

Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

By the look of this report , kings might be moving either relocation or contraction .

          here's quote coming from stern...
"Stern also provided contrasting updates on the NBA's two Northern California teams, saying he still expects the sale of the Golden State Warriors to close next week. However, his optimism for a new arena in Sacramento has "faded completely."

No new building , no team can play in vegas. KC looks to get there kings back. They have a brand new arena that very much NBA ready. Might a sonics thing all over again, its sad if any of this goes down.

As sad as it is, if it were to happen, the Pacers would definitely be one of the contracted teams. It'd be terrible not to have an NBA team in Indiana too.

Yeah. Because the Bucks are just terrible. They weren't in the Playoffs last year and they don't come into this season with a team that figures to be better than last year's or anything.

I think my hometown St.louis should have a basketball team we have a lot of basketball fans here.ncaa basketball tournaments are here every year we have the scottrade center we could kick the blues out. the stadium holds 18,000+ and it wasn't built to long ago were a metropolitan city the whole state of Missouri would have a NBA team. This is my proposal we give los angeles back the rams an they give us the clippers or kings. but maybe should give us back the hawks their only NBA championship was won in St.louis

I've been saying it all along, there are too many teams in the league. The league needs to be more competetive, there has got to be more talent on individual teams.

Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Hornets, and another team.

Two conferences of 13, four teams in each conference go to the playoffs.

Change it so in the lottery, out of the non-playoff teams, the worst half get one ball in the lotto, and the half closer to the playoffs get two balls.

There's your competition til the end of the season. No tanking.

Of course, none of this will actually happen.

Re: League considering contraction of lesser profitable teams

from what heard today on espn, it seems the league pools money from all the teams. And the teams that lose money get money out of that pool. And the other owners dont want to share there team profit with a other teams. And want to get rid of that pool of $$$ to help the worse off teams.

But i think we can see teams moving before any get shut down. And if they do it most likely be 2 at a time to keep an even #'s of teams.

I hope Magic Johnson does try to buy a team, mainly the clippers and moving somewhere else that has a newish arena and a fan base that wants them.

Eliminate all small market teams, then regardless of what cba is in place it wont matter because no one will be getting rich off the others. Problem Solved

I dont think Stern is serious about this. This is just pretext to create leverage for getting what he really wants, which is reducing salaries. I also dont think he wants to reduce it by 1/3. When you negotiate, you have to start some where as a basis for negotiations.

BTW, I think what will be interesting going forward is the WNBA. Im not sure if its profitable or not but its hard to imagine that it is. If the WNBA is not profitable, anything Stern says rings hollow while he instsists on carrying that league. It would also be interesting to see if the media actually starts questioning the existence of the WNBA. There are a lot of agendas in the media and a lot of people that wont want to go near asking the pointed questions about the WNBA.
