I get you to a point but at the same time, they gave up 56 points in the paint. So it's not just playing teams that have a PG the caliber of a Paul or Rondo or DWill. Even with a 1 of that skill set, you can't be allowing the opposing team to drop 50 plus on you inside.

Re: 11/8-11/14 Game Discussion Thread
After some boredom at work this is what I've come up with. Through 8 games this is what the starting bigs are averaging against Miami:
C - 11 PPG 38/87 = 44%
PF - 16 PPG 47/98 = 48%
Obviously Milsap greatly influenced the PF stat with his career night. Before the Utah game the 4 spot was 28/70 while 11 PPG on 40%.
As far as center goes Howard had a difficult game against the Heat and so did Brook Lopez twice, imo the top 2 centers in the East.

Roy might need another knee surgery
The news, Blazers fans, is not good. Roy is experiencing swelling and discomfort on his left knee. This is the knee that was operated on in August 2008, not the right knee that was operated on last April.
Roy is concerned about what is going on inside the knee, which he says has been drained of fluid twice this season. His concern is strong enough that he wants a second opinionComment

Re: 11/8-11/14 Game Discussion Thread
I mentioned all of this in the Evans vs Roy thread:
"I would love to play more minutes and have a much better body, but it's just not the case, so I have to try and make the most of what it is. I had a phone call (Monday) and in talking to a few people, it is somewhat of a reality check. This is what it is, and now you have to make the most of it."
Roy said his left knee has bothered him throughout his NBA career. And every year he said it has needed to be drained throughout the season. Now, however, whatever is going on in there appears to be sapping his super powers, and Roy can tell it.
When asked how hard this was to deal with mentally, he didn't hesitate.
"Very. Because I want to play at a high level," Roy said. "If things were different, maybe I could, but they are not."
If you don't believe this is serious stuff, consider this: The Blazers' main plays have been isolation sets designed for Roy to break down his man one-on-one.
This week, the isolation plays were scrapped. Roy hasn't been able to beat his man one-on-one enough to warrant the plays being instilled.
No longer will he receive the ball at the top of the key. Now, many of the plays call for Roy to post low on the block, or get the ball at the "elbow," the corner created where the free throw line meets the key.
It will be something akin to a fastball pitcher losing his zip after arm surgery, and having to learn how to pitch, using change of speeds and location to survive.Comment

Re: 11/8-11/14 Game Discussion Thread
I meant the bench production smart guy. And considering we only lost by 2, I don't think it's crazy to say that him not playing possibly made the difference.
But like I said, bench production was the difference between winning and losing this game and it shows. Continue with your obvious hatred(for some strange reason which I don't know why you do)for them though.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 11/8-11/14 Game Discussion Thread
I mainly thought he'd have a field day scoring with his buttery mid-range shot, but that hasn't exactly panned out either. He's already the bass player in the "band"... forgotten and wandering into the scene every now and then, only to be overshadowed by the guitarist and singer every time.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Man thats a tough break for Brandon Roy. He should have never tried to come back early last year. Which just shows you how tough he is. If he needs his mins limited it must be really bad. On the bright side we play Portland next so a limited Roy should eqaul a win ,but hopefully he just sit until he is right physically. When he is and hopefully Oden is ready they can make their playoff push. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: 11/8-11/14 Game Discussion Thread
Chris is what he always was: an excellent mid post player, mid range shooter and rebounder. Problem is that Chris needs the ball to be at his best. Miami has an offense that is not necessarily going to get the ball to him and he's not so great a finisher that he can just average 20 PTA just finishing plays the way D12 or amare can.Comment

By the sounds of everything, and how well documented his knee trouble has been, it doesn't sound like his knees will ever heal.
He's been pretty quiet on the boards thus far and his defense more than anything is being exposed. I didn't think he could be worse than Amare or Boozer but I guess he really is on their level in terms of defending the post as well as on the perimeter.
