Agreed. They a PF and C away. Yes, that's a back handed shot at Bosh. I always thought Bosh was a good stat/bad team dude but watching him now on the Heat is alarming. Dude wants NO PART of the paint and generally hangs back for 19 footers. That's precisely what this team doesn't need. They got to trade him (eventually, they'd never do it this year) for a guy like Luis Scola or Kevin Love. Not saying either trade is realistic. Just throwing out a few names.

Ilguaskas/Dampier/Anthony and Bosh vs Gasol and Odom, what other bigs do the Lakers have right now with Bynum out?

        Does it matter?

None of those guys can guard either Gasol or Odom. And if Bynum is healthy in the Finals, he'll destroy those dudes as well.

As a Laker fan, the thought of Bosh checking Gasol and Udonis checking Bynum (or vise versa) amuses me.

I was actually talking to my boy about something the Heat could do against the Lakers. I honestly think if Lebron put his mind to it (and actually wanted to do some dirty work) he could play Gasol pretty tough. Gasol got about 4 inches on him but Lebron makes up for that athletically. Artest is no real threat offensively anyway. It's a funky wrinkle they could throw. What do you guys think?

Gasol will get his certainly but I'm not sold on Odom bullying Bosh, and if your banking on Bynum being effective for more then a couple minutes you've got a problem. Also, when did Gasol become this intimidating presence on the defensive end, he's guarding the rim against Lebron and Wade? no way.

Yeah, that's the question. Can Wade accept the Pippen role? Yesterday was the first time all season that LeBron dominated like that. As good as Wade is, it was clear that LeBron is the best on the team and they play their best when he is the focal point. If Wade can accept that, and defer to James, they will play a lot better together.

It'll be pretty easy to guard the rim when you have two great perimeter defenders checking them.

LeBron cannot beat Artest. Artest punches him in the mouth and LeBron fades away.

That basically makes LeBron the point guard and he doesn't want to do that. Both those guys NEED the basketball to be they're most effective. I just don't see how they present a legit threat to the top teams in the league if they aren't at the height of their effectiveness.

Odom isn't hard but he's definately no Bosh. Bosh looked geniunely horrified last night and in Boston. I think Odom (whose been hardened by 3 trips to the finals) vs. Bosh is a landslide. At least this year. In basketball, unlike any other sport, you got to take your lumps. Bosh is surely taking his this year.

Lebron has his way with Artest, I know you watched both of last years games against the Lakers, Lebron was the one bullying.

Kobe is a step slow against Wade, Wade has had Kobe's number in the one on one battle from their last few games.

They don't. lol! There's always the potential for one of them to go all video game mode and win a game or 2. But 4 out of 7. Doubt it.

lol He most definatly has been tentative and scared in big games so far, but he has the talent(hopefully the desire) and I think he just needs more reps in the big spotlight, he hasn't had too many pressure situations over his career so I'm not writing him off just yet as some type of soft unclutch player.

I mean once he realizes the pressure isn't on him and all he has to do is knock down his elbow jumper and grab a board he'll be alrite.

The thing with Odom is that he's a better rebounder than Bosh and he has a better perimeter game. I honestly don't think Bosh cannot guard Odom's ability to drive to the hole.

I'm looking forward to it. It's a new matchup and a really interesting one. We know the Heat's troubles against the Celtics now, it's just can they fix them? We know their trouble with the Magic, it's just can they fix them? We haven't seen what they look like against the Lakers yet and I want to see what they do against a great team without an all-world point guard.
