EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Problem with that is, its the pressure and expectations people put upon players to be all time greats in a short time... those kinds of things are pipe dreams man, it takes alot of accomplish what MJ and Magic Bird, etc... accomplished...

Its not a light thing, even if people try to compare 3 or 4 year players to them

People are so used to people going up to podiums and lying through their teeth that they feel "outraged" when someone is truthful and honest...

Truth, people are used to hearing those politician speeches, MJ kept it real and that's just who he is. My homeboy saw him at a bar in Vegas last year, asked him for an autograph, Mike basically told him "you can't afford my autograph" lol. Is it what he wanted to hear, no, is it the truth, absolutely.

Ya know, in the time it took Jordan to say that, he could've signed an autograph for the guy.

Oh absolutely, but just from the stories I've heard about him I wouldn't even waste my time askin. He's notorious for being a jerk to fans when approached in public. If he's not getting paid it ain't happenin lol

I'm guessing if your friend was a hot blonde bombshell they would have got an autograph. My brother's ex-girlfriend got an autograph from him with no problem and she gave it to me. That was over 2 decades ago and people can change a great deal over that time. It would suck to have strangers coming up to you all the time though.

I know Steve Martin (comedian/actor) had a bunch of personal cards made saying I met Steve Martin that he could give out when approached. LOL. MJ should do the same.

I always thought Jordan because of his deal with Upper Deck wasn't allowed to sign autographs for people.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

To get his autograph I guess you've got to challenge him in some way. "Kobe signed me an autograph in 5 seconds. I bet you cant do it in less than 3s."

This seals it: Steve Martin has got the best business card EVAR! This even beats out the previous titleholder of best business card that I found on Matt Cutt's blog a while ago.http://www.thelaughtrack.com/2009/04/steve-martin-has-greatest-business-card.html - via Rue The Day!...

Lol I don't know how but I forgot about MJ's affinity for the ladies. I wish I could remember the site were a guy who was a sports writer I think, posted a story abut how he got his lady stolen while they were at dinner by Jordan. It was hilarious how salty dude was.

What's a cooler story? Being able to tell your grandkids that Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player ever, is a jerk and wouldn't take five seconds of his time to sign an autograph? Or being able to tell your grandkids that Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player ever, took time out of his busy life to sign an autograph?
