If taking a charge was so tough why don't it happen on the playground?
    Spoiler
I agree with that. Flopping is a horrible way to play defense. Slidding into position, if done correctly and on time, can be a great move. When done wrong or when the player gets there late, it can turn out horrible. But that's basketball.

If the Jazz could defend the three, they would be up twenty on the Warriors right now. I hope we pull out the victory but we're keeping it WAY too close.

Dallas down four with 10.9 seconds left. I hope they lose.

EDIT: Glad to see Dallas finally lose. Now just have the Jazz win and it will be a good night.

EDIT2: Jazz really took over in the fourth quarter. Well, Deron did. He's really starting to piss off Ellis. Which is bad for Ellis, cause Deron is even better when he's angry.

We know what kind of coach Thibs is two months into the season and how things are going to go for the Bulls? I really gotta get me one of these time machines.

Haven't heard that, yet, and we go to about 15 games a year.

Stopping the Mavs 12 game winning streak felt good. Bucks are off to a slow start because of injuries and retooling the teams chemistry. Delfino is still out.

Maybe the welcoming will run out later, who knows.

Yeah, I thought that contract was dumb as hell, but I guess they knew what was up.

            Wes can definitely ball too.

Have you seen him throw temper tantrums on the sideline? He losses his voice from screaming.

That offense they ran was junk today. Their defense is hectic. In the playoffs he may come up with a great gameplan for teams but it could get really ugly with all the overhelping and help positioning they do.

Anyway I am not a fan of his style of coaching. So I will be rooting against his defense, meanwhile hoping DRose just runs the court all day long.

As they say styles make fights. I roll with offense, passing, and a different type of defensive toughness. One on one. Little to no help. Play them straight up. Get the ball out of the basket. Take the first good shot. No offensive sets that have dummy motion.

I dig a little deeper. So my opinions are a little more formed than the usual stuff about LeBron, Kobe, MJ and who makes the best highlight plays.

But no one wants to talk about these things. In fact I usually just think I am on everyones ignore list. So I should probably just stop posting here.

Have you ever played pick up basketball games at the gym or playground? Have you ever undercut a guy driving to the basket while he's in the air?

I have, a lot of people have and the result 95% of the time will be the guy that falls to the ground and misses potentially paralyzing himself, will get up and try to beat your *** to a pulp, LOL.

It is just not cool etiquette, if you can't get there in time for a charge, don't get there at all, otherwise you're endangering a man's life and you will get a beat down by teammates or the player.

It's horrible defense and thug play.

He kind of kills momentum like Vinny except in a different matter. Boozer is going off in the first and all of a sudden they change to give Noah isolation drives which he misses. He can't keep the Bull's running a consistent offense, they're erratic, they never use what works more than once. He also has horrible time management, keeping Rose and Boozer out at the wrong times.

He also has issues getting Kyle Korver open shots and keeping him warm. He expects if Korver is out the entire first, then brings him in in the second quarter(which he does every game this season) that he's gonna hit shots through screens. Korver is a spot up, set shooter.

Yes, I play as much as I can. And I agree totally with you. If you can't get there in time, than you should just either step back or try for a block, not take a charge.

I've seen the Rose play a few times now and IMO, Rush is there in plenty of time. Rose just got too high in the air and took a horrible fall. Nothing Rush could have done about it. Like me and even Rose said, that's just basketball.

In the nba forum and on the internet in general they always tell you "its too soon, wait and see, give it more time"

well i have waited and seen, Brandon Roy is done. They need to send him to the bench to play spot minutes only. He's an iso based player that cant Iso anymore...DONE DONE DONE

They gotta pull the plug on him

Ive seen someone on the blazers site mention a Meniscus transplant, no idea any other details though.

Looks like Brandon Roy is back to feuding with Andre Miller:

The Blazers suffered another fourth-quarter collapse on Monday. Brandon Roy, who only had seven points, bemoaned the team's lack of a gameplan and the fact the he needs more players that compliment his game. The biggest jab was at starting point guard Andre Miller. Roy pretty much had the same rant last season.

"I don't know how people want us to play, because this is the personnel we have," Roy told The Oregonian. "I wasn't that slow until you put a guy who is kind of slow next to me. I've always been kind of slow ... not to be controversial at all, but I was slow my rookie year."

Roy continued while he shook his head.

"A lot has changed. That's why it's just delicate. With how I was able to play early in my career, I always said I was happy because of the situation I came into. I had this, this, this, and I didn't have to change. Now that we have to adjust ... some of it is we are running into rhythm problems, consistently."

Also Andrew Bynum will play tonight according to him haha:

UPDATE: No. 2: Bynum emphatically announced Monday that he will make his season debut against the Wizards on Tuesday.

"I'm definitely playing [Tuesday]," Bynum told ESPNLosAngeles.com.

Bynum isn't sure what role he'll have in the rotation.

"I'm just not sure if I'm going to start or come off the bench," Bynum said. "It doesn't really matter to me but it will definitely be in quick bursts ... five minutes here, five minutes there."
