How do you think the Celtics will be when the Big Three retire?
With Rondo being at least 2 years better (maybe gets a consistent mid range jumper down... at the very least hopefully bring his FT's up) and us having other young players for when they retire (Perk, baby, bradley, robinson, west) i could see them being an alright team. Its not a guarantee we will have all of those players, but rondo isn't the only young person we'll have when they retire. I kinda hope they aren't good though for at least one year cause i don't want them to be stuck in the low playoffs seed/high lottery area for the draft lolTags: None -
Re: How do you think the Celtics will be when the Big Three retire?
Danny Ainge always has something up his sleeve. No need to worry. It might be a while until we are back to glory days, but I don't think we'll be Cleveland bad.
(Funny because CLE beat Boston this year) -
Re: How do you think the Celtics will be when the Big Three retire?
Rondo's assist will drop hopefully by then he can shoot. Perkins won't be with us in the long run to many injuries. We all no Doc isn't going to coach without the big 3. besides the big 3 we lose shaq, jermine who brought size. we might get 7th or 8th cause the east is getting tougher Heat,Magic, hawks, bulls, knicks, bucks, that's 6 automatic spots. plus melo is coming to the east in our division. We should enjoy the success while it last.Comment

They might go through a couple of down seasons, but they will find their way back to the top. Championship franchises like the Celtics and Lakers always do.Redskins, Lakers, Orioles, UNC Basketball , and ND Football

Since they are in a big market and a rabid fanbase they will be fine.Comment

Re: How do you think the Celtics will be when the Big Three retire?
Regarding Rondo, I don't think he'll be involved with the Celtics past this current contract. Dude has been in the league almost five years now and his jumpshot is complete trash and shows no signs of getting better. I think as long as the big three is there he's not going to develop it because he doesn't feel the need to score consistently. So if they're still there, one two more years that takes him into his sixth year with no jumpshot as a point guard. I don't think the Celtics will have the players around him to allow him to focus soley on playmaking and dishing assists like he currently does. I think life after the big three is going to be rough for Mr Rondo and the Celtics period.Comment

I dunno, they suck so much at running teams that they don't have jobs anymore. Except Larry Legend of course who no body ever clowns him like they do Zeke and MJ's front office careers.Comment

Ainge is doing a pretty good job.Comment

Re: How do you think the Celtics will be when the Big Three retire?
I still don't buy him as a good exec. He was doing a piss poor job with the Celtics and was on the verge of getting fired until he flipped pretty much the entire team for KG and Allen out of desperation.Comment

I was at the game where the Celtics played the Lakers in the Gerald Green days and the fans started chanting MVP for Kobe. It was literally a bunch of guys with Lakers jerseys in one section.Comment

Re: How do you think the Celtics will be when the Big Three retire?
Al Jefferson, Randy Foye, Jeff Green, Rajon Rondo, Leon Powe, and Glen Davis are all quality players who either went on to play well elsewhere or played well in the Celtics system. That was all Danny Ainge.Comment

Re: How do you think the Celtics will be when the Big Three retire?
Zeke drafted well too and doesn't get cut any slack by anybody but some Knicks fans. Bottomline, there was some atrocious times in Boston with Ainge holding down the fort and it took a miracle move for him to keep his job.Comment
