The absolute worst are guys who pass to guys they know, despite me being open(granted, I'm a bad shot, but I can at least try to get him a better shot.) or who just keep the ball to themselves.

I'm a big guy (weight wise), so I know I'm going into the paint (despite only being 6' 1", I loved playing in the paint, offensively and defensively.) I don't play as much as I did when I was younger (helped lead our team to a great 0-13 record.) I play within myself, I know my limitations that I'm a bad jumpshooter(though I can be good at like 15 feet at the corners), so I focus on being good defensively, a good passer, and be decent in the post.

I just like when playing a team game, that everyone plays as a team and knows their roles and limits. I don't want a guy doing drifting sideways chucking up threes to be "the guy" despite nobody will remember the game except those who played.

I also like the guys who think they can dunk, but either get smacked away, miss the dunk, or just completely whiff it.

I don't have that happen as much with guys I don't know. Most people tend to find out pretty quickly that I can shoot lol

1. Gotta love the "Melo": The guy that puts all his energy on offense, but lets his man get open shots and drive past him for AND-1's; then when your team is losing, he hangs his head and says "I don't know what more I could've done, I had half the team's points."

(cont.) He, also, puts his head down on offense, and when he gets triple teamed he just throws the ball to anyone he sees and says "Right there!" as to say, I set you up perfectly with a horrible pass and you should score + HORRIBLE shooting % due to no court awareness.

2. There's also a lot of "caggers", the guys who can't hit open shots but drain contested looks and no-look inside shots. These guys are frustrating to play against, because you can't play defense fundamentally.

3. I'm more of a microwave, when I'm on, I'm on and when I'm off, I'm off. It's 50-50, but it's a show when I'm on. When I'm off, I stop shooting and take it in, rebound, tougher defense, etc.

** Dislike playing streetball because everyone in there either travels or carries like every possession and if you call it, you look like a dick.

This Guy Literally P'd Me Off Last Saturday, I Came Down The Lane And Did A Tomahawk And He.... Called Me For A Charge and Called Me For A Tech For Hanging On The Rim, I Mean I Could Tell He Was Old School But In Dallas We Do Not Call Those Ever In Streetball!!! EVER!!!!!!

Oh, dat hapened 2 Me 2 but instead of Tomahawk, i did 360 between my legs n rite before i flushed it i covered my eyes with 1 hand n with the other i did the Karl malone pose and dunked it with my face.

As a tall guy myself, I HATE seeing guys who are around my size who have no idea how to play in the paint.

Played a game with this guy today. Not even exaggerating, he took about 20 shots and made one. Problem was there was only 6 guys so he HAD to play. He was always on my team and we lost 12-2, 12-3 and 12-2 again.

Here's the kicker... I got the ball and missed a pretty easy floater and this guy goes "come on, how do you miss that?"
It's like this guy had no idea how bad he was.

The guy who thinks he's Ray Allen except he's 5'6 Im 5'11 and I reject every time he shoots. The guy who is in your face like "I have Jordans you have those crappy nikes" and Im like "So were beating you."

The "Girlfriend Guy".He's the one you been been balling with forever.He's average at best barley get's picked on teams.Normally plays his "Mario Chalmers" or "Derek Fisher role then when his girlfriend is there he starts talking **** and forcing bad shots.

This is my high school varsity team. We have one kid who usually does the dirty work and is good at that stuff and in turn we doour best to set him up with easy looks now and then. When his girlfriend isthere though, this man starts trying stepback jumpers, spin moves in the lane, etc and just looked dumb. It was like two different players lol

I cannot lie, on those super rare occasions when my girlfriend would show up, I'd try to tip-dunk every. single. shot. Unfortunately, it'd never work out while she was there, so it was just me getting 20 foot run-ups and climbing people's backs, all for naught.

I remember the first time my current girlfriend ever watched me play, we were playing in a mens league game and I caught the ball at the top of the key and took one dribble and absolutely hammered it, shot well that day too.... Every other time she's watched me I've shot like 1 for 10 and dribbled the ball off my foot out of bounds lol.. But she's not really a basketball fan, so I never try to show off or anything when she's around.

I'm a terrible basketball player with no handles, quickness, or jump shot, but if I was able to dunk I'd be just fine with the rest lol. Only 5'9 though. How tall are you?

Yeah, that's the funny thing. I've had those moments where I could break off an emphatic dunk and feel like, "Aw yeah, she gonna like dat", but she never knows any different. To her, it's all just one big mess of basketball being played, where a dunk is more or less the same as shooting it over the backboard. The only basketball plays that catch her eye are things like, when the ball twirls around the rim twice before going in.

"Girlfriend Guy" is one of the more entertaining players I've played against/with on the court, from my experiences.

Like OJ and VDusen mentioned, this guy is trash 99% of the time his girl isn't there but the one time she does come, he somehow gets it in his head that he'll transform into "13 in 35" T-Mac regardless of what position he plays on the court. And more times than not, he plays worse than he usually does since he's looking like a fool jacking up all those shots.

And don't let him be the biggest guy on the court because he'll float around the perimeter all game long just to impress his girl, lol. The funny part about all of this: She's not even paying attention to what he's doing on the court at all.
